About this role

Welcome to Warner Bros. Discovery… the stuff dreams are made of.

Who We Are…

When we say, “the stuff dreams are made of,” we’re not just referring to the world of wizards, dragons and superheroes, or even to the wonders of Planet Earth. Behind WBD’s vast portfolio of iconic content and beloved brands, are the storytellers bringing our characters to life, the creators bringing them to your living rooms and the dreamers creating what’s next…

From brilliant creatives, to technology trailblazers, across the globe, WBD offers career defining opportunities, thoughtfully curated benefits, and the tools to explore and grow into your best selves. Here you are supported, here you are celebrated, here you can thrive.

Our studios are considered one of the foremost motion picture and television production and post-production facilities in the world. They inform, engage, and transport audiences to new worlds. The key to that lies with our Studio Operations group, which includes areas like soundstage/backlot set rentals, events, design, culinary, construction, landscaping and much more. Whether it’s hosting an unforgettable studio tour, creating an optimal workspace, or equipping talent to tell the best stories, these teams lay the foundation for the memorable experiences we provide.

Your New Role…

Join the Events team as Events Assistant Manager, delivering a varied programme of consumer, corporate and conferencing events at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London.

Working with the Events Manager, Show Experience colleagues, partners and teams across WBD, you’ll be involved throughout the event journey, from initial client enquiry through to delivery. This hands-on role combines event operations, client experience and commercial thinking, with opportunities to develop ideas and shape future activity.

You’ll also take an active role in the wider Studio Tour operation through Duty Management, coordinating with teams across the business to deliver high standards for visitors and clients.

There are two opportunities available: one permanent position and one fixed-term contract position.

If you know how much goes into creating a brilliant experience and you’re ready to take on a broader role within Events, we’d love to hear from you.

Your Role Accountabilities…

- Coordinate operational colleagues, stakeholders, commercial partners and the catering provider to deliver high-quality events and a consistent experience for visitors and clients.
- Work with the Events Manager to keep event planners, rotas and schedules up to date, ensure activity is appropriately staffed, and deliver training so teams are equipped to maintain high standards.
- Coordinate across Events, Show Experience, WBD divisions and partners to position Events as an integral part of the Studio Tour offering.
- Handle event enquiries, meet prospective clients and present event opportunities at the Studio Tour, converting enquiries into sales and maximising the prospective and existing pipeline to achieve commercial targets.
- Work with the Events Manager and Visitor Experience Director to identify new opportunities and develop products and services that meet visitor and client requirements.
- Consider individual client requirements, make adaptations to spaces where possible, consider different learning and training needs across the team, and contribute to the department apprentice’s development where applicable.
- Analyse data, costs and pricing to enhance the commercial performance of Events, prepare accurate reports and purchase orders, review results and develop processes while maintaining high presentation standards.

Qualifications & Experience…

- Previous experience working within an events environment, hospitality operation or similar customer-focused setting.
- Experience working in an environment where service, operational standards and commercial performance are important.
- Experience working with clients and delivering events from initial enquiry through to practical delivery.
- Commercial awareness, with experience identifying sales opportunities and an understanding of revenue, costs and pricing.
- Experience working in a busy operational environment, with the ability to problem-solve, respond to changing priorities and work independently and as part of a wider team.

Working Pattern…

- This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week.
- The working pattern will include three Duty Manager shifts per week as part of a seven-day rota.
- Weekend working, including Saturdays and Sundays, and evening events form part of the working pattern.
- Normal working hours are 09:00 to 18:00 outside of conferencing and event requirements. Hours will be scheduled to accommodate event and conferencing activity as required.

Onsite Working - This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours and days (regardless of shift pattern) will be carried out at the place of work. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement, where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.

How We Get Things Done…

This last bit is probably the most important! Here at WBD, our guiding principles are the core values by which we operate and are central to how we get things done. You can find them at www.wbd.com/guiding-principles/ along with some insights from the team on what they mean and how they show up in their day to day. We hope they resonate with you and look forward to discussing them during your interview.
