The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Security Architect to assess and define the baseline security architecture underpinning a major programme spanning local, regional, and national delivery models. This is a hands-on architectural assessment role — you’ll be evaluating options, surfacing risks, and producing clear, actionable recommendations that inform how security is designed and delivered at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess baseline security architecture requirements across the programme.
- Evaluate architecture options for local, regional, and national delivery models.
- Assess security tooling dependencies, with particular focus on Microsoft security, SIEM, and identity services.
- Identify architectural risks associated with centralisation.
- Assess the technical feasibility of proposed approaches.
- Assess multi-tenant and shared-service approaches.
- Identify dependencies and technical constraints across the architecture.
- Produce clear, well-evidenced architecture recommendations.
- Map Microsoft Suite alignment to the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) and wider government security frameworks.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Active SC Clearance — mandatory for this role.
- Demonstrable experience as a Senior Security Architect, ideally within large-scale, multi-tier (local/regional/national) delivery programmes.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft security tooling, SIEM platforms, and identity services.
- Experience assessing centralisation risk and multi-tenant/shared-service architecture models.
- Familiarity with the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) and wider UK government security frameworks.
- Strong analytical and risk-assessment skills, with the ability to translate complex technical findings into clear architecture recommendations.
- Experience working within public-sector or similarly regulated environments.
