The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes.
The impact you’ll make
EI Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing big-data process from semiconductor manufacturing tools to improve equipment stability, process performance, and key manufacturing KPIs through data-driven analysis
What you’ll do
▪ Key Responsibilities
✓ Analyze equipment data such as logs, sensor signals, alarms, FDC, and OES to identify abnormalities and performance degradation
✓ Support KPI improvement activities (e.g., stop loss reduction, chronic issue mitigation)
✓ Perform comparative analysis for pre/post PM, H/W changes, and process/Non process condition optimization with OFSA
✓ Conduct multivariate analysis (e.g., PCA) to detect drift, anomalies, and early signs of equipment or process issues
✓ Evaluate process impacts on CD, yield, and stability, including compensation effectiveness
✓ Data-driven root causes and corrective actions delivery
▪ Analytical Scope
✓ OES full spectrum analysis and chamber-to-chamber variation analysis
✓ Regression analysis with Y-data and validation using LSR-based activities
✓ Alarm and interlock analysis to assess BM loss and productivity impact
✓ KPI-oriented trend analysis and structured issue investigation
▪ Deliverables
✓ Weekly and monthly EI-DA reports and project highlights
✓ Technical summaries, issue analyses, and action items for internal and customer reviews
✓ Concise slide materials and one-page summaries for meetings and decision
Who we’re looking for
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years; or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experiences in data analystics or Etch/Depo process or Field Service Engineer
Preferred qualifications
- Strong understanding of semiconductor equipment and manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in data analysis using statistical techniques
- Ability to interpret big-data and translate insights into actions
- Effective cross-functional communication and structured problem-solving skills

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
