Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Social Value Coordinator to provide maternity cover and help us continue delivering our social value commitments.
You will work with project teams, colleagues and community partners to coordinate activities, keep commitments on track and capture the positive impact we are making.
Using tools such as the Social Value 2027 Calendar and Together for Good , you will help connect our projects with community, education, careers and volunteering opportunities.
You will also support technical social value activities, including reporting, Social Value Delivery Plans and bid submissions .
Your role
In this role, you will:
- Support project teams with existing and new social value commitments.
- Coordinate community, education, careers and volunteering activities.
- Use the Social Value 2027 Calendar to identify suitable local opportunities.
- Use Together for Good to match project commitments with relevant activities.
- Build positive relationships with project teams and community partners.
- Support work experience and employee-led social value activities.
- Keep social value records and evidence accurate and up to date.
- Write case studies and prepare social value reports.
- Support the development of Social Value Delivery Plans for new contracts.
- Contribute to social value sections of bids and proposals.
- Support community partner onboarding, donations and invoice processes.
- Work with experienced social value colleagues to ensure activities are delivered and reported effectively.
About You
You are someone who enjoys working with people, staying organised and making a positive difference . You are proactive, curious and comfortable working with different teams and priorities.
We are interested in your strengths and potential, as well as your experience. You may have developed your skills through employment, education, volunteering, an apprenticeship or community involvement.
You will bring:
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.

- The ability to work collaboratively across different teams.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
- An interest in social value, sustainability, ESG or community engagement.
- A willingness to learn and develop your technical knowledge.
It would also be helpful if you have experience or understanding of:
- Social value reporting and evidence gathering.
- Social Value Delivery Plans.
- Bids, tenders or proposals.
- Sustainability or ESG principles.
- Community engagement, volunteering or event coordination.
- Writing reports or case studies.
- West Cumbria and its community networks.

Security clearance
