About the Job
As a QA Automation Engineer at Aspire, you will combine your hands-on automation and manual testing experience to build and maintain reliable, high-quality software solutions. You will work across web application testing, automation frameworks, CI/CD, and API testing while collaborating with developers, product owners, and QA engineers to improve software quality and delivery.
What You’ll Do
- Write, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web applications.
- Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing where automation is not the right fit.
- Design test cases and scenarios based on requirements and user stories.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
- Improve test coverage and maintain clean, scalable, and maintainable automation frameworks.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and Agile team discussions.
- Communicate testing progress, risks, and quality concerns to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
What You’ll Need
- Hands-on experience with manual testing and test case design .
- Experience developing automation scripts for web applications .
- Good understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect management.
- Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into clear test scenarios.
- Good written and spoken English .
- Proficiency in Playwright is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript ; TypeScript is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins .
- Basic experience with API testing using tools such as Postman or Playwright API testing.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Experience with Git and code reviews .
- Knowledge of performance or accessibility testing is a plus.
- Relevant testing certification such as ISTQB is a plus.
