About this role

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Responsibilities:
- Manage component development from RFQ through design finalization, development, validation, tooling and SOP.
- Handle RFQ, TSO, technical evaluation, commercial quotes, Quote synthesis and drive should be costing.
- Evaluate supplier technical proposals, manufacturing feasibility, capacity, tooling and investment requirements.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supplier and Programme teams for component development and issue resolution.
- Drive should-costing, cost benchmarking, VA/VE, localization and cost-reduction activities.
- Manage supplier readiness for prototype, validation, pre-production and SOP requirements.
- Track tooling, prototype parts, FTG and development milestones and ensure timely closure.
- Support supplier development for quality, delivery, capacity and process capability.
- Manage commercial activities including price finalization, development/tooling cost and cost escalation/de-escalation.
- Drive resolution of supplier issues impacting programme timing, cost or component readiness.
- Ensure compliance with APQP, PPAP and Mahindra quality requirements.
- Release of PR/PO, proto PO, Accessment of proto quotes, evaluation of quotes

Experience

4-8 years of Experience

Industry Preferred

Qualifications

BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile/Production or related engineering discipline.

- Commercial quote analysis, quote synthesis and negotiation
- Should-costing and cost benchmarking
- VA/VE and localization
- Supplier development and sourcing
- APQP, PPAP and DFM/DFA
- Automotive manufacturing process knowledge
- Programme and milestone tracking
- Knowledge of Steering, Brakes and Cooling System / Heat Exchanger components
- Good hands on MS office, SAP usage and T code awareness
