As Corporate Security Country Head for the Netherlands and Country CISO Representative, you will be the primary Corporate Security representative for the country. You will lead the implementation of security policies, standards and risk management practices, advise senior stakeholders, and help protect the Bank’s people, information, physical assets, operations and reputation. The role requires substantial relevant experience and the ability to operate effectively in a complex, highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate Corporate Security activities across all Deutsche Bank entities and locations in the Netherlands, in accordance with global and regional requirements and applicable Dutch law.
- Represent Corporate Security in country governance forums and act as the principal local point of contact for security matters.
- Advise and communicate confidently with country and senior management on security risks, priorities, incidents and required mitigation measures.
- Oversee physical and technical security across locations, including site security surveys, access control systems, CCTV and video management systems, and associated operating standards.
- Lead the management of security vendors and third parties, including contractual requirements, service performance, operational controls and remediation actions.
- Build effective relationships with business stakeholders, regional and global security functions, public authorities, landlords and external security partners.
- Coordinate the response to security incidents with the regional Security Operations Center and ensure timely escalation, investigation support and follow-up.
- Support Crisis Management, recovery testing, business continuity and operational resilience activities, including Executive and Event Protection, Investigations and Threat Intelligence where required.
- Coordinate the implementation and funding of security measures with relevant business units and support delivery of security-related projects and change initiatives.
- Act as Country CISO Representative and serve as the local coordination point between country management and the relevant global and regional information security functions.
Required Skills and Experience
- Substantial relevant professional experience in Corporate Security, Physical Security, Security Risk Management or a closely related field, at a level appropriate for a country leadership role.
- Proven experience working in a complex and highly regulated environment, preferably within financial services or another regulated industry.
- Sound knowledge of relevant Dutch and international legal, regulatory and governance requirements relating to corporate and physical security.
- Practical knowledge of technical security systems, including access control, CCTV and video management systems, as well as their operational and vendor-management requirements.
- Proven experience in physical security, site protection, security risk assessment, risk mitigation, incident management and crisis management.
- Demonstrated vendor and third-party management experience, including oversight of contracts, service delivery, controls and performance.
- Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across business, control and infrastructure functions.
- Ability to communicate confidently with senior and executive management, influence decision-making and present security risks and recommendations clearly.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and balance operational delivery with strategic priorities in a complex matrix organisation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and written and verbal communication skills in English.
- University degree or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience in business continuity, operational resilience, investigations, threat intelligence, executive protection or event security.
- Relevant professional certification, such as e.g. CPP, PSP, CISSP, CISM, CBCI or an equivalent qualification.
- Dutch language proficiency.
- Project and change-management experience.
- Experience working across multiple countries or jurisdictions.
- Experience delivering security awareness or training programmes.
