About this role

Role Overview

The Digital Learning Team is looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and self-driven Content Developer to design, develop, update, and publish digital learning content for Esko’s software portfolio. The role supports both customer-facing learning and internal associate enablement, helping learners understand products, new releases, workflows, and best practices through high-quality digital learning experiences.

The Content Developer will work closely with Product Managers, R&D Application Specialists, Application Engineers or Subject Matter Experts to create interactive eLearning modules, training videos, tutorials, learning paths, knowledge checks, hand-outs, and product enablement content. The role also supports ongoing content maintenance, localization, release enablement, customer onboarding journeys, and the modernization of legacy learning content into LXP native learning content.

This position requires strong instructional thinking, technical curiosity, the ability to analyze SME input, and the capability to independently convert product knowledge into clear, engaging, and learner-friendly digital content.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Learning Content Development

- Analyze input from Subject Matter Experts and convert it into structured scripts, storyboards, tutorials, and learning modules.
- Independently write scripts and develop alpha versions of digital learning assets such as interactive eLearning modules, product introductions, how-to videos, What’s-new videos, and training hand-outs.
- Create learner-friendly content for customers and associates, including digital foundations, new product training, release enablement material, customer onboarding flows, and customer success journeys.
- Develop knowledge checks and other learning interactions that support learner engagement and understanding.

Video, Module, and Learning Asset Production

- Build responsive and adaptive learning content using industry-standard content development tools such as Camtasia, Camtasia Audiate, SnagIT, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud or similar tools.
- Develop training videos, tutorials, downloadable learning materials, and supporting assets aligned to product learning needs.
- Ensure learning assets are clear, accurate, visually consistent, and aligned with team templates, standards, and best practices.

Platform and Content Modernization

- Support the Digital Learning Team’s transition from LMS based learning delivery to modern LXP (360Learning) native learning experiences.
- Assist in converting existing SCORM-based learning assets into native 360Learning content through restructuring, instructional redesign, testing, quality assurance, localization rebuilding, and learner journey optimization.
- Help maximize the learning experience by supporting the use of 360Learning capabilities such as learning paths, collaborative learning, analytics, and AI-assisted capabilities where applicable.

Quality Review and Continuous Improvement

- Conduct self-review of modules, videos, scripts, and learning assets to ensure quality, accuracy, and usability.
- Participate in peer reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve learning content quality.
- Identify functional and quality gaps in content, including script effectiveness, simulation quality, and implemented learning experience.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of templates, methodologies, content development standards, and design guidelines.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Interaction

- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts on content-related issues and clarify product workflows, technical details, and learning objectives.
- Work with Product Management, R&D, Application Engineering, and other internal teams to support product updates, software releases, cloud product adoption, and learning enablement initiatives.
- Present and defend design decisions and key milestone deliverables to the team and management.
- Participate in team discussions related to learning scope, mission, content strategy, and digital learning improvements.

Project and Task Management

- Track assigned development tasks, completed work, and progress using team collaboration tools such as Teams and Asana.
- Maintain time tracking for development activities and ensure assigned work is completed within agreed timelines.
- Manage content development tasks in a way that supports release readiness, planned learning initiatives, and business delivery commitments.

Required Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably with certification or training in content development, instructional design, digital learning, multimedia development, or a related area.
- 3 to 5 years of work experience, including at least 2 years of experience in content development and instructional design.
- Experience developing responsive and adaptive content using tools such as Camtasia, Camtasia Audiate, SnagIT, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud or similar industry-standard content development tools.
- Knowledge of A.I. for developing interactive eLearning content such as Agents and Widgets is an advantage, but not mandatory.
- HTML and CSS skills are an advantage, but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of French, German, Spanish, or Italian language is a plus.

Required Skills and Competencies

- Ability to critically analyze SME input and transform it into effective learning content.
- Strong attention to detail and a highly organized working style.
- Good analytical skills and the ability to understand product needs, tools, and workflows.
- Self-initiative and willingness to learn new technologies, tools, products, and instructional principles.
- Ability to work independently as an individual contributor while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.
- Creative thinking and the ability to propose innovative approaches to digital learning content.
- Willingness to participate in peer reviews, content improvement discussions, and quality enhancement activities.

Preferred Experience

3-5 years of relevant experience is required in:

- Working on digital learning content for software products.
- With eLearning platforms, learning paths, product onboarding content, or customer enablement content.
- Maintaining, localizing, updating, or publishing digital learning assets.
- SCORM-based content, LMS, LXP, or content migration projects would be an advantage.
- Working with cross-functional teams such as Product Managers, R&D Application Specialists, Application Engineers or Subject Matter Experts.
