We’re growing and looking for a skilled, creative Fabricator to join our busy Truck Shop in E. Yaphank, NY.
What You’ll Do
- Fabricate a variety of metal components and structures from sketches, drawings, and verbal instructions
- Perform custom fabrication and installation projects on fire apparatus and specialty vehicles
- Cut, fit, layout, position, align, and secure parts prior to assembly
- Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel (sheet metal to structural)
- Weld in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
- Operate shop equipment including shear, brake, horizontal band saw, bench-top disc sander, and related fabrication tools
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
What You Bring
- Strong MIG & TIG welding experience (aluminum, stainless steel, and steel required)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Solid math skills and accurate measurement conversions
- Ability to work independently with a positive, can-do attitude
- Professional communication skills
- Consistent ability to produce clean, high-quality welds
- Own hand and air tools
Position Details
- Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- $25–$40 per hour (DOE)
