## About the team

Internal Controls Division leads the controls transformation exercise for Reckitt across different countries. Internal Controls framework has been developed to mitigate key financial reporting risks.

About the role

Your responsibilities

(a) Execution of Controls Assurance and Transformation Activities

- Engage with the market to provide key information on Reckitt controls transformation agendas and activities

- Provide support for testing of controls effectiveness, remediation efforts and market adherence to Group policies and guidance to meet UK listing rules

- Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of delivery (and third parties) including review updates to control documentation to ensure process flowcharts and control activities are current and are aligned with internal control guidelines

- Influence and drive actions with the market teams to deliver remediation to any control weaknesses identified

- Partner with the regional controller team and local management teams to drive improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of the control environment

(b) Test of Operating effectiveness

- Support the definition of the scoping for OE Testing

- Engage with external parties and market to deliver test within the timelines

- Interpretation of results and communicate to market leaders for effective solutioning

- Target to deliver the OE Pass Rate

(b) Reporting

- Reporting of the status of the control environment to market leadership, regional controller team and internal controls team

- Call out risks and supports required for market execution.

(c) Project Management:

- Partner with Global excellence and project management team to deliver on framework updates

- Provide subject matter expertise to global teams in finance / operational policy making

- Support programme governance structures including preparation and facilitation of local updates, feedback on programme delivery and senior leadership

- Support the development of the control framework, IT tooling implementations, identification of Continuous Control Monitoring and automation testing opportunities

- Provide inputs into group risk assessment and scoping activities

The experience we're looking for

The role holder should have the ability to balance global execution and market priorities to build an effective control environment

- Communicating and influencing - the ability and gravitas influence market stakeholders, with strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across functions and geographies, and to build effective working relationships at all levels.

- Problem solving – the ability to provide pragmatic solutions

- Good Reporting and Presentation Skills to drive actions

- Exhibits strong subject matter knowledge on controls framework, documentation and practices

Professional Qualification / Experience

- Chartered Accountant (First Attempt), MBA Finance with minimum 7 years overall experience in Finance business partnering and Controllership Roles

- Knowledge of other core finance end to end business processes (P2P, O2C, R2R, Inventory, Trade Spends)

DESIRABLE:

- Demonstrable strong knowledge of internal controls and US SOX

- Controls implementation and testing experience /management of controls testing

- Big 4 background an advantage

- Experience with COSO framework and COBIT framework an advantage

- Global and FMCG experience

- Knowledge of ERP system e.g. SAP, JDE

The skills for success

Qualified CA, internal controls, stakeholder management, influence market stakeholders, FMCG/manufacturing exposure
