Position Summary
The Bank Teller will ensure the financial service needs of each customer are promptly, accurately, and courteously fulfilled.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Engage clients as the first point of contact as they enter the branch.
• Provide account services to customers by receiving deposits and loan payments, cashing checks, issuing savings withdrawals, and recording night and mail deposits.
• Answer questions in person or on telephone and refer customers to other bank services as necessary.
• Record transactions by logging cashier’s checks, and other special services; prepare currency transaction reports.
• Cross-sell bank products by answering inquiries, informing customers of new services and product promotions, ascertaining customers’ needs, and directing customers to a branch representative.
• Reconcile cash drawer by proving cash transactions, counting, and packaging currency and coins.
• Follow all audit and security policies and procedures.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Travel to any branch location for support as requested by management.
• Attend seminars and meetings as requested by Branch Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a proactive and positive attitude toward customers, supervisors, co-workers, and the Bank.
• Always present a professional image and attitude.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook.
