Overview:

Monday - Friday; Day shift

We are seeking a hands-on scientist to develop, optimize, validate, and implement laboratory-developed tests (LDTs) using LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, and related mass spectrometry technologies. The successful candidate will design and troubleshoot analytical methods, develop sample preparation workflows, perform validation studies, analyze complex datasets, and collaborate with clinical and laboratory teams to bring new assays into routine clinical use. Candidates should have a BS, MS, or PhD in a relevant scientific field and demonstrated experience in quantitative mass spectrometry method development, assay validation, chromatography, sample preparation, and instrument troubleshooting.

Essential Functions:
Designs and conducts experiments to develop new products or improve existing ones. Analyzes and interprets data from experiments and presents findings to management. Develops and maintains standard operating procedures for laboratory equipment and processes. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion. Maintains accurate records of experiments and results in compliance with regulatory requirements. Stays up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology to inform research and development efforts.

Education Requirement:
Bachelor of Science degree with significant and relevant R& D experience in a similar laboratory, required. Master or Doctorate degree in science and experience in an appropriate field, preferred.

Skills:
Ability to do technical writing, as well as good communication and computer skills. Good organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to initiate and work on several projects at a time with minimal supervision; motivation to follow through to completion while adhering to deadlines and maintaining accurate records.

Significant and relevant R& D experience in a similar laboratory, required.
