POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Analyst, Operations Applications reports to the Manager of Operations Applications and is responsible for both leading and participating in the functional design, development, support, maintenance, and configuration of Operations and Maintenance applications used within power generation plant environments. The Senior Analyst position is responsible for working with the business community and IT project teams to collect, clarify, and document business requirements into documentation and conceptual design (using appropriate tools and models) from which applications and solutions are developed. This position is also responsible for supporting other peripheral applications and interfaces used to supplement Engineering & Design applications. This role is an active thought partner and application visionary that helps to shape the technology demand among the business community.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

- Work with the business user community providing excellent user support for Operations and Maintenance & Engineering and Design applications and related business processes with a strong understanding in power generation environments.
- Gather and analyze business requirements, prepare workflow diagrams, and develop functional design documents.
- Execute and implement solutions as per the business requirement with the deployment of new and enhanced functionality and business flow.
- Investigate and resolve complex problems through research and functional analysis.
- Provide continual assessment and review of unit testing and integration plans to ensure the solutions meet the business needs and are working as designed.
- Partner with business and technology partners to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements into technical requirements.
- Analyze, document and test program development, logic, process flows and specifications.
- Document user manuals describing application installation and operating procedures.
- Work with technical team in reviewing technical specifications and translating technical issues/requests in a manner that can be understood by the business users, and vice versa.
- Keep the applications current with appropriate patches/upgrades.
- Review change management procedures and follow methodology for moving functional set-up/configuration into production.
- Create and work with vendors in gathering documentation required for Security Risk assessments.
- Assists and Monitor budget pertaining to annual software maintenance costs and new license purchases.

- Demonstrated experience in writing software requirements and test specifications.
- Ability to interact effortlessly with business/user community to determine and document functional/technical requirements.
- Documentation of Meeting Minutes, Business Workflows and Requirements, Functional Design Specifications, and Use Cases for user acceptance testing.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with multiple teams on common issues, ability to multitask, appropriately manage the priorities and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Flexible and adaptable regarding learning and understanding of new software and functionalities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or related field of study.

Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience with application implementation, administration and support, including experience supporting applications used in power generation plant environments. Must have full life-cycle experience with all aspects of Enterprise application setup, testing, user training, and production support. Maximo technical support experience, with an emphasis on work management and supply chain, is a plus.

Required technical experience with applications used to support power generation plant operations:

- J5/Hexagon/Octave Electronic Logbook technical support experience with an emphasis on IndustraForm development, report development, and Python programming.
- Permit to Work applications or eLOTO systems such Red Tag Pro.
- Autodesk application suite; including but not limited to AutoCAD and Autodesk Vault.
- Intergraph/Octave applications: PlantState Integrity
- Smart Instrumentation
- Smartplant Review
- Smart 3D

- Proficiency in SQL query/scripting.
- Knowledgeable in REST APIs and Web services.

WORK CONDITIONS

- Job is performed in a typical office environment, but is subject to time pressures and constraints, and is often dependent on input from others.
- Must be available to work onsite daily
- Often exposed to stressful situations.
- Occasionally, work may be performed from home, after normal work hours or on weekends.
- Participate in On-call shift rotations for afterhours application support.
- Periodically travel as business requires.
- Subject to drug and alcohol testing, per applicable federal regulations or as required by Cheniere.
