About the Role

We are seeking Flight Software Engineers to design, develop, integrate, and test high-performance real-time embedded software for advanced flight systems.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building robust software for demanding, safety-critical environments , while working closely with GNC, systems, and hardware teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and test real-time embedded flight software .

- Collaborate with GNC engineers, systems engineers, and hardware teams.

- Develop and maintain software for high-reliability and safety-critical environments.

- Support simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and flight testing .

- Participate in root-cause analysis and debugging across software and system interfaces.

- Follow rigorous software lifecycle and configuration-management practices.

- Support software verification and validation activities.

- Contribute to development processes, tools, and engineering standards.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and best practices relevant to flight software and real-time systems.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.

- C/C++ programming experience.

- Experience with RTOS.

- Understanding of hardware/software integration.

- Familiarity with real-time system constraints.

- Experience with GNC systems or other control-intensive applications .

- Strong understanding of simulation and HIL testing.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment.

- Active or eligible for a Top Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

- Flight software experience for missile, launch vehicle, or spacecraft systems .

- FPGA-based systems experience.

- Embedded software optimization experience.

- Secure software development or cybersecurity knowledge.

- Familiarity with agile or iterative development methodologies.

- Hands-on software verification, validation, and integration experience in defense environments.
