As an Associate - Cybersecurity Operations Analyst (L1) you will support cybersecurity operations focused on monitoring client systems, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and helping address security issues across a range of environments. Within our Cybersecurity practice, you will develop your skills while contributing to work that protects sensitive data and supports secure technology operations for clients. This role offers exposure to varied challenges, fast-moving priorities, and opportunities to build practical experience in cybersecurity generalist work.
As an Associate you will focus on learning, adaptability, and reliable delivery while supporting senior team members and building your technical knowledge. In this role at PwC, you will gather information from multiple sources, interpret patterns, communicate findings clearly, and apply professional and technical standards while developing your understanding of client needs, cybersecurity tools, and the broader business context.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring security events and alerts across client environments to identify possible threats and unusual activity
- Investigating incidents by gathering evidence, documenting findings, and escalating issues based on severity and impact
- Performing initial triage of security tickets, validating symptoms, and routing items to the appropriate response path
- Reviewing endpoint, network, and cloud logs to support incident analysis and vulnerability assessment activities
- Applying cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and control requirements when handling operational security tasks
- Supporting containment and recovery actions for security incidents under senior guidance
- Recording case details, status updates, and remediation steps in ticketing and monitoring tools
- Contributing to security monitoring routines, regulatory response activities, and privacy compliance tasks across managed service engagements
- Understanding the importance of responsible Information Management, including Information Security and Data Protection
- Ensuring correct Information Security Management practices
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- Oral and written proficiency in English required
What Sets You Apart
- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Business Studies, Computer and Information Science, Information CyberSecurity, Information Technology, Management Information Systems
- At least one of the following: One or more certifications aligned to enterprise cybersecurity governance and operations, including CISSP, CISM, or equivalent security credentials
- Demonstrating internship, coursework, or project exposure to cybersecurity operations
- Applying security monitoring, vulnerability assessment, or incident response concepts
- Working in client-facing or managed services environments with changing priorities
- Gathering data, identifying patterns, and communicating findings clearly
