Job Summary Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Design Lead – Architectural to join our Data Centre team.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the architectural design and delivery of large-scale data center projects from concept through detailed design, construction documentation, and site execution.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, stakeholders, and specialist consultants to deliver technically robust, operationally efficient, and compliant data center facilities.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Lead comprehensive architectural design and planning for mission-critical data centers across all project stages, delivering optimized zoning, space planning, and issued-for-construction documentation.
- Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEPF), structural, civil, security, and specialist consultants to integrate Building Information Modeling (BIM) and seamlessly resolve multidisciplinary design interfaces.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards, local building codes, fire regulations, and international guidelines (such as Uptime Institute and Telecommunications Industry Association) through rigorous design management and construction site support.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
- 10–15+ years of experience in architecture, with a significant focus on data centers and mission-critical facilities.
- Strong knowledge of critical infrastructure zoning, fire and life safety requirements, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) coordination platforms.
- Proven ability in multidisciplinary design leadership, technical problem-solving, stakeholder management, and driving the closure of on-site technical issues.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a recognized institution, along with professional registration with the relevant architectural body.
