Position Summary

Ragle Inc. is seeking a motivated Heavy Equipment Mechanic Intern to join our Equipment Division for Summer 2027. This 10-week internship provides hands-on experience maintaining and repairing heavy construction equipment while working alongside experienced mechanics.

Interns will receive mentorship, technical training, and exposure to both shop and field operations while developing skills that can lead to future Co-Op or full-time opportunities with Ragle.

What You'll Do

· Assist with preventative maintenance and equipment inspections

· Gain hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulic, and electrical systems

· Assist mechanics with diagnostics, troubleshooting, and equipment repairs

· Learn proper shop safety procedures and professional tool use

· Assist with equipment servicing and component replacement

· Support fleet maintenance documentation

· Gain exposure to shop and field mechanic operations

· Work alongside an assigned mechanic mentor throughout the internship

Equipment You'll Work With

Interns may gain exposure to excavators, dozers, motor graders, loaders, skid steers, rollers, haul trucks, articulated dump trucks, water and service trucks, backhoes, trenchers, and other heavy construction equipment.

What We're Looking For

· Currently pursuing a degree in Diesel Technology, Diesel Technology: Field Maintenance, Diesel Technology: Equipment Management, or a closely related diesel/heavy equipment program.

· Strong interest in heavy equipment maintenance and repair

· Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn

· Dependable with a strong work ethic

· Coachable, team-oriented, and safety-minded

· Ability to perform hands-on work in a shop and field environment

· Available to work 40 hours per week for the full 10-week Summer 2027 internship

Previous mechanical experience is a plus but not required.
