What You Will Be Doing:
This position will be part of the Lockheed Martin Sustainment Services, supporting the F-35 Field Modification Team at various locations. The modification team will be based at MCAS Yuma, Az with potential travel requirements at other F-35 locations. This position requires the following:
* Maintenance tasks include conditioning aircraft for modifications, removal and installation of attaching hardware, component removal and installations, assistance with software uploads, and various system operational checkouts.
* Technical requirements also include fault isolation, troubleshooting, and repair of system failures detected during operational checks associated with modifications and restoration of aircraft to flying condition subsequent to accomplishment of modifications and maintenance. Interprets and uses various test equipment and works from wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, job guides, and maintenance manuals.
* Must be willing to train and assist in multiple disciplines. Responsible for the performance of company programs/projects in support of customer requirements. Participates in the maintenance and logistics scheduling and execution.
* Develops solutions to complex problems concerning support to assigned site. This requisition supports the aircraft modification and heavy maintenance program supporting F-35 program requirements.
* Identify aircraft locations by station, butt-line, and waterline as shown on engineering documentation and technical orders.
* Verifies application/condition of installed LO materials for conformity to specifications and determines material and time required to perform repairs; removes, takes corrective action and makes reinstallations where design and modification changes.
* Candidate is required to regularly perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach. The candidate is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist.
Other Job Requirements/ Resonsibilities Include:
* Sets up and operates various types of material testers and mixers.
* Record data and procedural information for future use by others.
* Improvises shop aids to facilitate fabrication, application or assembly operations.
* Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area.
*Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
* Interim Clearance is required to start. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Basic Qualifications
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:
* Candidate must have 3 years APG/Crew Chief experience on fighter type aircraft.
* Performs required Airframe and Powerplant General/Technical Aircraft Maintenance (TAMS) (Crew Chief) tasks in support of maintenance technicians in support of tasks identified by the USAF and in technical data issued for the F-35 aircraft.
* Candidate must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, structure repair manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes
* LO rework/ restoration experience
Desired Skills
The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the other candidates:
* 5 years of APG/Crew Chief experience on fighter type aircraft.
* 5h Generation aircraft Low Observable(LO) Coatings Application experience.
* Tool Control programs, HazMat handling and management.
* ALIS or IMIS knowledge.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $30.00 - $55.77

* For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
