The Workplace Experience (WPE) team is responsible for shaping the employee experience at Plaid, ensuring that our workspaces, events, and cultural touchpoints drive connection, collaboration, productivity, and engagement.
Within WPE, the Employee Experience team brings Plaid's culture to life by designing and executing programs that foster belonging and engagement across both in-office and distributed environments, from flagship company-wide gatherings to onboarding, milestone moments, and everyday culture-building. We ensure every Plaid, whether new or tenured, remote or in-office, feels welcomed, valued, and connected.
As an Employee Experience Coordinator, you will help bring Plaid’s culture to life by supporting internal events, employee programs, and everyday moments that help Plaids feel welcomed, connected, and celebrated.
You will coordinate event logistics, employee communications, vendor details, and onsite execution for programs ranging from monthly social hours and team gatherings to company-wide events. You will work closely with teammates and cross-functional partners to keep projects organized, respond to employee questions, and ensure each experience runs smoothly from planning through completion.
This role is a great fit for someone who is highly organized, eager to learn, comfortable juggling multiple priorities, and excited to provide hands-on support in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist with all logistics, vendor coordination, budget tracking, timeline development, space setup, and communications for events across offices and remotely
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee emails, Slack messages, and support tickets, responding directly or routing inquiries to the appropriate team member.
- Assist with planning and executing employee events and programs including retreat, Plaiderdays, monthly social hours, holiday parties, onsites and offsites, and more.
- Keep programs running smoothly by managing important operational details, communicating directly with employees, and providing hands-on support before and during events.
- Support event logistics, including researching vendors and venues, placing catering orders, and creating signage and flyers.
- Assist with event setup, on-the-ground management, and breakdown for company events, from team social hours to flagship gatherings
- Provide administrative support for events and programs, including project tracking, note-taking, task management, and swag coordination
- Help build excitement and keep employees informed by creating and managing event communications, including invites, promotional materials, and event recaps.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (People, DEIB, Comms, Workplace Operations) to support broader employee experience initiatives and to create smooth, welcoming, and memorable experiences for Plaids.
- Comfort being a visible presence in the office and engaging employees face-to-face
- 1–3 years of experience in an events, employee experience, administrative assistant, HR, or workplace experience role.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines at once.
- Proficient communication skills across multiple channels (email, Slack, decks, event invites, etc.) including clear, warm, and timely written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, can-do attitude and comfort working in a fast-paced, occasionally ambiguous environment.
- Collaborative mindset and comfort working cross-functionally with different teams and stakeholders.
- Experience planning and executing events.
- Comfortable being onsite three days per week in the NYC office(Tuesday–Thursday).
- Familiarity with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Canva, Zendesk, or event platforms (e.g.,, Epoch)
- Experience supporting multi-office or distributed teams.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

About the Role
As an Employee Experience Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in bringing Plaid’s culture to life. You will support internal events, employee programs, and create meaningful experiences that help every Plaid feel welcomed, connected, and celebrated—whether in-office or remote. What You’ll Do

Who You Are
- 1–3 years of experience in events, employee experience, administrative support, HR, or workplace experience roles.
- Highly organized with sharp attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communicator across channels (email, Slack, presentations, event invites) with clear, warm, and timely written/verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, can-do attitude and comfortable in a fast-paced, occasionally ambiguous environment.
- Collaborative with a flexible mindset and ease working cross-functionally and with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience planning and executing events.
