About this role
Who We Are
Omen is miniaturizing lab-grade spectroscopy into field-deployable embedded sensors. Our systems deliver PPM-level trace analysis on the fluids inside data center liquid cooling loops, catching contamination and wear weeks to months before a catastrophic failure. We raised a $31M Series A led by Nava Ventures in June 2026.
Our team is a tightly knit group of builders, dropouts, and industry veterans. We don't build things that are good enough, we build things that are 100x better.
The Challenge
Omen runs on custom software. Our management views all live in one internal platform, built in-house over the past year. Our tooling carries sales, finance, and customer success, and feeds the dashboards the whole company uses to run the business. The company is growing faster than one person can build. We need a forward thinking Software talent that can take existing tooling and update and expand upon it using modern techniques.
What You Will Do
- Build internal tools: Ship features across our internal platforms (CRM, FP&A model, customer success) from spec to production, often the same week. You own what you ship.
- Help automate operations: Work directly with our Operations lead to turn inventory, procurement, deployment, and field-ops workflows into systems that run on their own.
- Run RevOps: Keep pipeline data clean and trustworthy, wire up new tools as the sales team adopts them.
- Integrate everything: Connect the services we run on through their APIs, with sync jobs that handle rate limits and failures without losing data.
- Push the AI tooling: Use and extend our agent setup (Claude Code, Codex, skills, MCP servers, scheduled agents) to get more done per person every month. This is where we expect the most talent and will be the most rigorous in our standards.
What We Are Looking For
- You use AI coding agents every day and you are good at it. You know how to structure a codebase, context files, and task handoffs so an agent produces correct work, and you know when it is wrong. Agent harnessing is a core skill for this role.
- A real software foundation. A CS degree, a bootcamp, or a long list of things you built yourself all count. You can read the code an agent writes, debug it, and hold a data model in your head.
- Problem solver first. Give you an ambiguous business problem and you come back with a working answer, not a slide about one.
- Clear communication with non-engineers. Your users sit across the room from you, and some of them have run physical operations for years.
- No minimum years of experience. We care about what you have built, not how long you have been working.
Our Stack
TypeScript, Next.js, Python, Postgres (Supabase), Vercel, and a lot of third-party APIs. Experience with any of these is a plus; the ability to pick up whatever the problem needs matters more.
Show Us Your Work
Please include links to things you have built: a GitHub profile, a deployed app, an internal tool, an automation, or a short screen recording walking through an agent workflow you set up. Side projects count. A strong portfolio outweighs a strong resume here.
Compensation
Base Range of 150k to 190k + Equity
Benefits
- 100% medical, dental & vision coverage (for you)
- Flexible PTO
- WFH setup stipend
- Relocation support to San Francisco

Why Omen?
We take engineering seriously, but we don't let red tape slow us down. If you want to own a company's internal systems from the ground up, with a direct line from what you build to how fast the business moves, we want to talk to you.
Don't meet every bullet but excited about what we're doing? Apply anyway. Many excellent candidates don't tick every box, and we are looking for team players with undeniable talent.
