The Opportunity

Glade Academy is seeking a skilled, motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our academy team. In this rewarding role, you will provide vital support to pupils, teachers, and the wider school community, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child can achieve their full potential. Your contribution will play a key part in delivering an exceptional educational experience for all learners.

Your responsibilities

Under the instruction/guidance of teaching or other senior staff and within the overall ethos of the school, undertake care and learning programmes and activities to support individuals or groups of pupils, including more specialised support for those with special education needs, enable access to learning for pupils and assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

You will need:

- an English and Mathematics qualification to Level 2 (GCSE A-C), or equivalent
- a Teaching Assistant Qualification, or equivalent
- experience of working in an education setting
- knowledge and understanding of safeguarding regulations
- ability to communicate effectively with both adults and children, of all abilities
- ability to engage with and motivate children
- understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities and own position
within these
- understanding of, and ability to comply with the requirements of
safeguarding/Child Protection.
