Job Summary:
Under general supervision, this position leads the maintenance technical enablement function, ensuring maintenance operations are supported by effective technical guidance, training, and diagnostic resources. The role is accountable for the quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement of technical knowledge and support practices that enable consistent and efficient equipment repair.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and approve the development, maintenance, and delivery of technical training materials, scripts, publications, and diagnostic resources related to equipment repair and maintenance
- Lead and manage a team responsible for providing diagnostic support, troubleshooting guidance, and technical training to maintenance technicians
- Partner with maintenance leadership and vendors to resolve advanced technical issues and align training with repair standards and procedures
- Evaluate current and emerging equipment technologies to identify training needs and ensure technical content remains accurate and up to date
- Ensure technical support services are delivered effectively through call center and remote support channels, prioritizing complex or escalated maintenance issues
- Monitor team workload, performance, and capability to ensure appropriate utilization of resources and timely support to the field
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing trends in technician inquiries, repair challenges, and training effectiveness
- Maintain documentation, reporting, and metrics related to technical enablement activities and regularly present insights to maintenance leadership
- Perform people leadership responsibilities, including staffing, onboarding, performance management, coaching, and development of team members
- Promote a culture of safety, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence within the maintenance support function
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent with 5 years of related experience in maintenance, technical support, or equipment operations, including exposure to electronic engine, transmission, or reefer systems and/or military equivalent with 1 year of leadership experience; Willingness to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends AND/OR Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information effectively in both written and verbal formats
- Experience making operational or technical decisions in a fast‑paced environment
- Proficient computer skills and experience working with maintenance systems, documentation, or technical knowledge tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of a technical or trade school program in diesel, automotive, electrical, or related field
- Ability to work both individually and as a team
- Experience in truck/automotive industry
- Extensive experience in electronic engine, transmission and reefer repairs
- Fluent in diagnostic software
- Ability to work with under minimal direction
- Ability to build and maintain working relationship with vendors

Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
