Summary

Bell is seeking a highly experienced ServiceNow Senior Technical Advisor to provide technical leadership across our enterprise ServiceNow ecosystem. The role guides solution design, platform governance, engineering quality, and operational readiness across multiple ServiceNow instances and delivery teams. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to platform owners, architects, developers, process leaders, security partners, vendors, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Advisory
• Provide senior technical guidance from discovery and design through implementation and operational transition.
• Translate complex requirements into clear recommendations, options, risks, and technical decisions.
• Coach architects, administrators, developers, and delivery teams on reusable ServiceNow engineering patterns.
• Lead resolution of complex cross-module, integration, performance, security, and data-model challenges.
Architecture & Platform Governance
• Lead architecture reviews for major solutions, integrations, custom tables, table extensions, scripted logic, security changes, and core capabilities.
• Assess manageability, upgradeability, scalability, performance, security, licensing impact, and long-term supportability.
• Promote out-of-the-box capabilities and managed extensibility before customization.
• Ensure designs consider impacts across Bell, Shared, and BBM environments and shared enterprise services.
Solution Design & Engineering Quality
• Review high-level and detailed designs covering CSDM/CMDB, integrations, roles, workflows, user experiences, and automation.
• Define technical acceptance criteria and ensure appropriate automated, regression, performance, and security testing.
• Advise on Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, APIs, MID Servers, scheduled jobs, workspaces, portals, and notifications.
• Drive technical debt reduction, health remediation, guardrails, code quality, observability, and upgrade readiness.
Security, Data & Integration
• Align solutions with Bell security, privacy, access-control, audit, and data-retention requirements.
• Guide authentication, authorization, role design, credentials, encryption, and integration security.
• Guide CMDB/CSDM modelling, data ownership, quality, reconciliation, and shared-data governance.
• Promote standardized, resilient, observable, and supportable integration patterns.
Delivery & Operations
• Partner with product owners and delivery teams to manage dependencies, technical complexity, risk, and design decisions.
• Ensure logging, monitoring, support documentation, knowledge transfer, and clear Day 2 ownership.
• Support upgrades, release planning, production readiness, major-incident investigations, and root-cause analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve experiences through automation, analytics, AI, and ServiceNow capabilities.

Critical Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of relevant ServiceNow or enterprise-platform experience, including senior advisory, architecture, or lead engineering responsibilities.
• Advanced ServiceNow knowledge and experience delivering solutions in large, complex enterprise environments.
• Strong experience in administration, configuration, development, integration, security, and release practices.
• Practical knowledge of CMDB, CSDM, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, scripting, APIs, access controls, deployment, and automated testing.
• Ability to evaluate complex issues from multiple perspectives and communicate recommendations clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow CSA certification.
• ServiceNow CAD, CIS, or CTA credentials.
• Experience with ITOM, SPM, CSM, SecOps, IRM, HRSD, HAM, SAM, Now Assist, or AI Control Tower.
• Knowledge of ITIL, Agile, DevSecOps, enterprise architecture, and SaaS platform governance.
• Experience in multi-instance, multi-vendor, or regulated enterprise environments.
