DESCRIPTION:
Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific where you'll guide product strategy and innovation as a Product Manager for the Residual DNA analysis portfolio, a critical portfolio of solutions supporting residual DNA testing and quality control across biopharmaceutical development and manufacturing. In this highly visible role, you'll shape the product vision and lead the development and execution of product roadmaps that align with market demands and customer needs across our diverse portfolio. Working at the intersection of business and technology, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that enable our customers to make breakthrough discoveries in healthcare, life sciences, and environmental protection.
In this role, you'll own the strategy and lifecycle of the portfolio, translating customer challenges and market dynamics into clear business priorities and commercial opportunities. You'll conduct comprehensive market research, analyze competitive landscapes, and gather customer insights to inform strategic decisions. You'll develop compelling business cases, define product requirements, and oversee product launches from conception to commercialization. As a leader, you'll build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across R&D, marketing, sales, and technical teams while prioritizing a customer-centric approach to product development.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced degree plus 6 years of experience, or bachelor's degree plus 8 years of experience in scientific instruments, laboratory products, or life sciences industry - preferably with multiple years of product management experience.
• Preferred Fields of Study: Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing product strategies and roadmaps
• Strong analytical and financial acumen with ability to build business cases and analyze market opportunities
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating across organizations
• Expertise in gathering and synthesizing Voice of Customer insights
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Experience with new product development processes and product lifecycle management
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in analyzing market trends, competitive intelligence, and industry dynamics
• Ability to travel up to 25% including international travel
• Leadership experience managing and developing team members preferred
• Experience with CRM systems and digital marketing tools
• Proven track record of successful product launches and commercialization
• Ability to work effectively in a global, matrix organization
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $125,000.00–$180,000.00.
