About this role

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS, SWEAT DC

SWEAT DC is a five-studio fitness brand, four in DC and one in Baltimore, built on the idea that everyone belongs in a gym. We’re growing fast, and we need someone to own the day-to-day so our founder can focus on culture and vision.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN:

- Consistent operations across all five studios, same experience every visit
- Studio managers and front desk teams: hiring, coaching, performance
- Retention systems: save calls on cancels and pauses, at-risk member follow-up
- Labor management and scheduling: coach pay, class coverage, hitting labor targets by studio
- Budgets, labor, and P&L awareness by studio
- Building and documenting processes in Trainual so knowledge stops living in one person’s head

WHAT YOU BRING:

- Five-plus years running multi-unit operations.
- Fitness, hospitality, restaurants, or schools all countYou’ve managed budgets and led managers before
- You’re a systems person who loves making things repeatable
- You care about people and the experience they have
- You genuinely love fitness. You’ll work out, be part of the team, and show up like everyone else

SCHEDULE, READ THIS CAREFULLY: This is not a nine-to-five operations job. We’re open seven days a week, 365 days a year. Classes run from 6 AM to 7:30 PM, and we run events on top of that. Expect early mornings, evenings, and weekends, roughly one weekend day most weeks. This is a hybrid role: you’ll be in studios a lot, around the team and members, with some flexibility to work from home when the schedule allows. If you need a predictable Monday-through-Friday desk job, this isn’t it.

COMP: $85,000 base plus performance bonus, up to $100,000. Full benefits.

LOCATION: DC metro, with regular travel between studios.
