At BMO Nesbitt Burns, our supervision teams play a critical role in protecting clients, supporting advisors, and maintaining the strong regulatory and risk management framework that underpins our business.
As a Branch Supervision Administrator, you will partner with Branch Managers, Investment Advisors, and operational teams to oversee supervisory reviews, identify and resolve compliance issues, and help ensure branch activities are conducted in accordance with CIRO requirements and internal policies. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about supporting a culture of compliance and client focus within wealth management.
What You'll Do
- Support the supervision and regulatory oversight of a designated branch or portfolio of advisors.
- Conduct daily, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc supervisory reviews of client accounts, transactions, communications, and branch activity.
- Monitor and investigate supervision exceptions, documentation deficiencies, trading irregularities, and other compliance-related concerns.
- Review reports and complete delegated supervision responsibilities, including electronic communication reviews, trade supervision reviews, account activity reviews, and documentation monitoring.
- Follow up with advisors and branch teams to resolve outstanding supervision issues and regulatory inquiries.
- Escalate concerns appropriately and ensure issues are documented and addressed in a timely manner.
- Provide guidance and support to branch employees on supervision processes, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with branch audits, regulatory examinations, remediation activities, and ongoing compliance initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with Branch Managers, Investment Advisors, Operations, Compliance, and other key stakeholders.
- Contribute to a strong risk management culture while helping the branch deliver an exceptional client experience.
What You're Bringing
- 3+ years of experience in wealth management, branch supervision, compliance, regulatory oversight, or investment operations.
- Knowledge of the Canadian securities industry and CIRO regulatory requirements.
- Experience reviewing transactions, account activity, client documentation, or advisor conduct within a regulated environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and recommend solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
- A collaborative approach and proven ability to build effective working relationships across the business.

$42,000.00 - $92,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
