Logistics Specialist
The Opportunity:
In this role, you’ll support Booz Allen’s logistics operations by coordinating and executing domestic and international shipments. You will help ensure shipment requests move smoothly through the company’s centralized logistics workflow by gathering the required inputs, tracking shipment progress, and coordinating with internal teams and external partners to keep shipments on schedule.
You will collaborate with program teams, internal functions, including contracts and legal, and third‑party freight forwarders to collect shipment details, con firm requirements for shipments, and provide guidance on routine logistical questions. In doing so, you will follow established processes to support compliance with all applicable regulations, including international trade regulatory requirements.
Success in this role depends on your attention to detail, ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines, clear communication skills, and commitment to keeping shipments on schedule. By supporting a consistent and efficient logistics process at Booz Allen, you will help the company’s logistics function effectively meet a growing business demand. What You’ll Work On:
- Prepare accurate and complete shipping documentation such as commer cia l invoices, based on information provided by program teams and other shipment requestors.
- Obtain inputs from internal functions, including contracts, legal, and program leaders, to address additional shipping requirements such as duty-free entry and export licensing.
- Coordinate with third-party freight forwarders to schedule shipments, con firm pickup and delivery details, and help maintain on-time performance in accordance with business and customer requirements.
- Track shipment progress through completion and communicate status updates to internal stakeholders as needed.
- Maintain accurate, audit‑ready records by completing shipping documentation thoroughly and con firm ing final delivery details once shipments are complete.
- Assist in resolving routine shipping issues by contacting freight forwarders, determining what additional actions or information are required, and relaying this back to the appropriate program teams or internal stakeholders.
- Execute shipments in accordance with established logistics procedures to support compliance with relevant regulations, including international trade regulations.
- Assist with logistics process development and enhancement, as well as other internal projects, as required.

You Have:
- 3+ years of experience executing domestic and cross-border shipments on behalf of an enterprise, including coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure shipment completion
- Experience preparing commer cia l invoices and shipping documentation
- Experience using Micro sof t products, including Excel and SharePoint
- Knowledge of shipping terms, including Incoterms 2020, and international trade regulatory requirements, including International Traffic in Arms Regulations and Export Administration Regulations
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and accomplish tasks under tight turnaround timelines
- Ability to work independently while e nga ging effectively across teams
- Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with Descartes global trade solutions, including OCR and Visual Compliance
- Experience with ServiceNow workflows
- Experience executing shipments with spe cia l requirements, including hazardous materials shipments and white-glove deliveries
- Experience obtaining ATA carnets
- Ability to display a collaborative, relationship-oriented approach to logistics
- Possession of strong interpersonal skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $53,000.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
