Job Description

Legal teams across Asia are being asked to do more with less: manage risk, control costs, and adopt AI without compromising trust or professional judgment. As a Solutions Consultant, you will help legal professionals and legal operations teams solve these challenges using Thomson Reuters' legal software and content solutions.

You will work alongside regional sales teams from first conversation to close. Customers will look to you as a credible partner on how to modernize legal work.

Key Responsibilities

In this opportunity as a Solutions Consultant (Legal Solutions), you will be responsible for

Customer engagement and discovery

- Work with sales teams to help Identify opportunities to modernize legal operations and achieve measurable business outcomes
- Advise customers on the right offerings for each customer's pain points
- Build business cases that connect product capability to outcomes such as risk reduction, efficiency, and cost control
- Support and present at webinars, customer events, and speaking engagements on legal technology

Solution design

- Scope solutions  and articulate the value of Thomson Reuters’ legal technologies, contract automation, matter management, and legal workflow transformation
- Position solutions against competitors with a clear view of where Thomson Reuters differentiates

Pre-sales delivery

- Deliver product demonstrations tailored to customer scenarios
- Lead the solution response in RFPs and RFIs, working with bid management and sales
- Tell a clear value story that connects the customer's problem, our solution, and the expected result

Commercial contribution

- Work with sales to progress opportunities, develop new pipeline, and contribute to revenue targets
- Contribute to account plans by identifying cross-sell and expansion opportunities
- Maintain accurate opportunity and customer data in Salesforce to support forecasting
- Collaborate with product, marketing, implementation, and sales teams to bring customer feedback back into the business

Required Qualifications

You are an ideal fit for the Solutions Consultant (Legal Solutions) role if your experience includes

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 5to 7 years of experience in customer-facing roles (solution consulting, pre-sales, or customer success) for legal content or software solutions
- Solid understanding of corporate legal departments, legal operations, and the legal technology ecosystem, including demands around efficiency, risk management, and AI adoption
- Ability to explain the value of AI, legal research, contract automation, matter management, and workflow technology in practical terms
- Consultative selling and stakeholder management skills: you diagnose before you prescribe, and you work effectively with Legal Operations, Compliance, IT, and procurement teams
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to turn technical capability into a clear value story and business case for senior legal stakeholders
- Experience running product demonstrations and working daily with sales colleagues
- Collaborative approach with sales, product, marketing, and delivery teams
- A commercial mindset: comfortable owning the technical win and contributing to deal strategy
- Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience engaging General Counsel and in-house legal leaders alongside sales leadership
- Experience in enterprise software and SaaS sales support
- Experience in complex procurement, RFP/RFI, and bid management environments
- Hands-on experience with legal research, practice tools
- Regional APAC customer engagement
