Independence Excavating is looking to add a QC Tech to our team that will take charge of field observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, and related materials.

A typical day looks like:

- Performs field observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, and related materials
- Executes testing activities on projects of moderate complexity with minimal supervision
- Communicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers
- Reports on changing site conditions and additional testing needs to supervisors
- Prepares accurate and detailed daily field reports documenting site conditions and results
- Perform calculations, data reduction, and documentation tasks
- Maintains and organizes field equipment and testing materials
- Assist in resolving field-related issues and supports project execution
- Participate in project meetings with senior staff as requested
- Performs other field and project support duties as assigned

Do you have what it takes?

- High School Diploma or equivalent is required and associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus
- ACI Level 1 Field Technician Certified or willing to obtain certification
- Must have strong organizational skills to handle the variety of tasks assigned
- Must be able to effectively communicate verbally with internal teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage work on their own
- Willing to 100% travel
