Job Description
Position Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, screening, and recommending qualified candidates to meet organizational hiring needs. This role supports the full-cycle recruitment process, including job posting, candidate engagement, interviewing, and offer coordination. The position contributes to the development and execution of recruitment strategies that attract high-quality talent aligned with company goals and culture. This role requires strong communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple hiring priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Job Functions
1. Functional Responsibilities
- Source candidates using job boards, social media, professional networks, and referral channels
- Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate phone screens
- Schedule and conduct interviews (phone, video, and in-person)
2. Operational / Departmental Support
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and recruitment strategies
- Create and maintain accurate job descriptions and interview guides
- Maintain Applicant Tracking System (ATS) data integrity and recruiting records
- Track and report recruiting metrics and pipeline activity
3. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including EEO requirements
- Maintain confidentiality of candidate and hiring information
- Support consistent and fair hiring practices across all roles
4. Financial / Performance Accountability
- Monitor and report key recruiting metrics including time-to-fill and quality-of-hire
- Support workforce planning efforts by ensuring efficient pipeline management
5. Leadership / Collaboration
- Build and maintain relationships with colleges, professional organizations, and external recruiting partners
- Collaborate with HR and business leaders to support talent acquisition initiatives
- Support employer branding efforts and recruitment marketing strategies
- Promote a positive candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruitment process
6. Additional Responsibilities
- Evaluate recruitment processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and effectiveness
- Support HR initiatives and cross-functional projects as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
Performance Expectations & Key Metrics:
Performance will be evaluated based on measurable outcomes aligned with company and departmental goals. Metrics may include:
- Time to Fill
- New hire turnover rate
- Offer acceptance rate
- Additional project completion
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or related field required
Experience
- 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting or talent acquisition experience in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (Workday preferred) and proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter

- Ability to manage 10+ requisitions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally
- Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret recruiting metrics
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and recruiting tools
- Knowledge of employment laws including EEO and other applicable regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-volume or corporate recruiting environments
- Experience with employer branding or recruitment marketing initiatives
- Experience supporting workforce planning or talent analytics
- Exposure to multi-state recruiting environments
