The Cement Pump Operator will have an active and in good standing Class A CDL, minimum 3 years. Operate remedial cementing equipment (Cement Pump and Bulk Truck) safely and in accordance with the company operating procedures and safety and quality guidelines. The operator will work along the rig or unit crew, performing several field tasks associated with cementing operations and will be familiar with Oilfield Calculations, air systems and hydraulic systems on the cement pumping equipment and be capable of preventative maintenance of the equipment and tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

- Rigging-up and rigging-down of cementing service equipment on work locations to include spotting of cement storage vessels, pre-mixing of spacer fluids, and rigging-up appropriate data monitoring equipment.

- Operation of cement pumping and mixed equipment, blenders, liquid additive metering systems, centrifugal pumps, bulk cement blending, delivery and storage systems, manifold equipment, cementing plug releasing tools and data acquisition systems.

- Verifies correct line up of valves on bulk systems and surface manifold equipment.

- Assists in the performance of pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and associated paperwork/reports.

- Understands hazardous materials, job, wash up and discharge procedures and ensures compliance with Axis Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, guidelines and regulations, promoting safety awareness and environmental consciousness.

- Performing other duties as assigned by operations management.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED); some college is a plus.

- At least one (1) year of cement pumping experience and one (1) year of pump down or reverse unit experience operation with an oilfield service company.

- Class A CDL, minimum 3 years.

- Working knowledge of running high horsepower pumping equipment in a safe, and professional manner.

- Ability to calculate well-bore volumes, pump volumes and capable of displacing well fluid with cement.

- Must be able to travel as job requires, including approximately 70% travel and a typical 14/7 field rotation schedule.

- Work may be performed in all weather conditions.

- Mobility, including entering confined spaces and accessing work areas by ladders or other access devices up to approximately 20 ft.; ability to bend, kneel, stoop, twist, stand, squat, crawl, walk, and work safely around high-pressure equipment.

- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written in English.

- Basic math skills and problem solving and organizational skills.

- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers, visitors, vendors and other employees.

- Reliable telephone (cell phone) communication and transportation.

- Must successfully complete applicable post-offer, pre-employment requirements that are job-related and consistent with business necessity, which may include a basic physical exam, musculoskeletal assessment, pulmonary function test/H2S respirator medical clearance, audiogram, vision test, drug screen, functional capacity evaluation, and DOT physical/medical certification based on CDL, safety-sensitive, and job-specific requirements.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical demands and work environment described below are representative of the essential functions and conditions of this position. Requirements are job-related and consistent with business necessity. - Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.; individual lifting is limited to 50 lbs. Loads over 50 lbs. require a two-person lift or mechanical assistance.

- During a typical 12-hour shift, stand approximately 6.0 hours, sit approximately 1.7 hours, and walk approximately 4.3 hours.

- Frequently bend, kneel, climb, push, pull, and perform fine motor tasks associated with equipment operation, valve alignment, tool use, and service-line setup.

- Safely climb and descend ladders or equipment access points up to approximately 20 feet while maintaining three points of contact and using required fall protection where applicable.

- Use sufficient grip strength and manual dexterity, generally consistent with an 80–100 lb. grip-strength range for this role, to operate hand tools, handle hoses, secure equipment, and perform pressure-control tasks safely.

- Work outdoors in field and rig-site environments with exposure to temperature extremes, high noise levels, cement dust, chemicals, H2S or other hazardous atmospheres, and heavy equipment traffic.

- Wear required PPE, which may include FR clothing, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, hearing protection, fall protection, and respiratory protection when conditions require.

- Operate or work around CDL equipment, cement pumps, bulk trucks, high-pressure pumps, and related cementing service equipment in accordance with Axis HSE requirements and job safety procedures.

- Work 12-hour shifts on a 14/7 rotation schedule with approximately 70% travel to field locations, customer sites, and remote work areas.
