Engineer Senior, Network

Under limited direction, provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices. Establishes the networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, and enforcing system standards for optimal performance. Offers specific information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools to meet present and future capacity requirements. Integrates and configures various network devices and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, and Quality of Service (QoS). Conducts complex testing of network systems to identify and address any issues, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the overall network infrastructure. Improves network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, and scheduling upgrades as needed. Collaborates with network architects on network optimization, ensuring that the network infrastructure aligns with the organization's overall architecture and goals. Delivers network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations to enhance system reliability and security. Assists in the management of network engineering performance, ensuring system availability and reliability, subsequently conducting system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.

Experience technical role involving managing projects with a focus on delivering solutions that support broader organizational goals. Expected to be able to address-complex challenges and develop effective solutions with both internal experts and external stakeholders. Work requires clear and detailed communication, including gathering-functional requirements and preparing comprehensive reports. Colleague may lead small teams or independently manage projects, demonstrating a high-level of autonomy and subject matter expertise. A university degree or equivalent experience is required, along with strong practical knowledge of advanced theories and principles relevant to the field.
