Job Description:
The Local Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating local payment and means-of-payment operational activities within a country or legal entity. The role ensures efficient execution, operational continuity, service quality, compliance, and operational governance across activities related to digital cards, plastic cards, voucher operations, production coordination, distribution flows, reconciliation support, operational controls, and payment operational services.
The role acts as the key local operational contact between Global Payment teams, regional operational leadership, local business stakeholders, production partners, logistics providers, processors, Customer Care, Finance, Compliance, and Technology teams.YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
Responsibilities:
Local Operational Management
Manage day-to-day operational activities related to payment products and means-of-payment services within the country.
Ensure operational continuity and service quality across production, fulfillment, distribution, settlement support, and operational workflows.
Coordinate operational execution for payment products including digital cards, physical cards, voucher operations, and related operational services.
Monitor operational KPIs, operational incidents, service levels, and process efficiency indicators.
Ensure operational readiness for local product launches, migrations, operational changes, and transformation initiatives.
Production, Fulfillment & Logistics Coordination
Coordinate local operational relationships with card manufacturers, logistics providers, production vendors, and operational service partners.
Monitor fulfillment activities, stock management, operational timelines, and delivery performance.
Ensure operational traceability and proper governance across operational and distribution activities.
Coordinate issue resolution related to production, logistics, fulfillment, and operational incidents.
Support optimization of operational workflows, delivery models, and operational controls.
Operational Governance, Controls & Compliance
Ensure local operational activities comply with internal governance standards, operational procedures, and payment regulations.
Coordinate with Compliance, Finance, Risk, Fraud, Security, and Internal Control teams on operational topics.
Support operational audits, control reviews, remediation plans, and operational risk mitigation activities.
Monitor operational incidents, root causes, corrective actions, and service stabilization plans.
Promote secure, compliant, and resilient operational practices across the local entity.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
Collaborate with Payment, Product, Technology, Finance, Customer Care, Sales, Procurement, and regional operational teams.
Act as the main local operational point of contact for operational escalations and service coordination topics.
Support implementation of global operational standards and local adaptation requirements.
Contribute to operational transformation, process optimization, and automation initiatives.
Ensure effective communication and operational alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement & Reporting
Track operational performance metrics and support operational reporting activities.
Identify operational inefficiencies, service gaps, and process improvement opportunities.
Support implementation of operational governance frameworks and standardized operational procedures.
Maintain operational documentation, reporting repositories, and service records.
Promote operational excellence, efficiency, and customer-oriented service delivery.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Technology, or related field.
Work Experience:
5+ years of experience in payment operations, operational management, production coordination, logistics operations, or financial services operations.
Experience managing operational activities within payment or regulated operational environments.
Strong exposure to card operations, voucher operations, fulfillment processes, or operational service delivery.
Experience coordinating vendors and operational partners is preferred.
Skills & Certifications:
Strong understanding of payment operational processes, production coordination, fulfillment, and operational governance.
Experience with operational KPI tracking, incident management, and operational controls.
Strong organizational, coordination, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Knowledge of operational compliance and operational risk management frameworks is considered an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 is required.
Languages:
For global, regional, or area roles, fluency in English is required. Additional languages such as French, Spanish, Portuguese, or other relevant languages are an advantage.
For local country leadership and management roles, fluency in the local language and English is required.
For local individual contributor roles, fluency in the local language is required. English is considered an advantage as it supports communication, learning, and collaboration in a multinational context.
