We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Director to oversee our physical plant and grounds, ensuring our environment reflects the high standard of care our patients deserve.
Position Responsibilities
- Organize and supervise all maintenance and repair programs for the building and grounds.
- Plan and execute repair projects, new construction, and equipment installations.
- Manage mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments to minimize disruption to patient care.
- Maintain strict adherence to local codes, ordinances, safety regulations, and NHC standards.
- Manage department supplies, equipment care, record keeping, and cost estimation.
- Provide leadership and direction to maintenance team members.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients, families, visitors, and Partners.
Qualifications
- Experience: At least 2 years of maintenance experience with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Education: High school diploma or technical school graduate required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
- Proven ability to direct others and effectively manage a department.
- Strong organizational, record-keeping, and budget-conscious purchasing skills.
- Professional and tactful communication skills when interacting with patients, families, visitors, and team members.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, equipment, and safety procedures.
