The Executive Director, UHealth Access Operations provides executive leadership and oversight for enterprise access operations, including referral management, continuity of care, centralized scheduling, contact center services, and diagnostic access functions. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategies that improve patient access, operational performance, care coordination, and service delivery across the health system. The Executive Director leads large-scale operational teams through subordinate leaders and drives initiatives that enhance patient flow, referral conversion, scheduling efficiency, and organizational growth. The role serves as a key strategic partner in advancing UHealth's access and patient engagement objectives.
Core Job Functions:
1. Develops and executes strategic plans and operational objectives for enterprise access operations.
2. Provides executive oversight of referral management, continuity of care, scheduling, contact center, and diagnostic access functions.
3. Leads the development and implementation of standardized operating models, workflows, and service standards.
4. Drives initiatives that improve patient access, care coordination, referral conversion, and scheduling efficiency.
5. Establishes performance goals and accountability measures to ensure operational excellence and service quality.
6. Uses operational metrics, analytics, and benchmarking data to monitor performance and inform decision making.
7. Oversees departmental budgets, resource allocation, and workforce planning activities.
8. Leads and develops management teams responsible for multiple operational service lines.
9. Partners with clinical, operational, physician, and administrative leaders to support organizational priorities.
10. Directs large-scale process improvement, optimization, and transformation initiatives.
11. Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory, accreditation, and organizational requirements.
12. Promotes a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and service excellence.
13. Sponsors and supports implementation of new technologies, systems, and operational capabilities.
14. Represents access operations on enterprise committees, initiatives, and strategic projects.
15. Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with university policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on university policies and procedures.

Core Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
Experience:
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience required
Certification and Licensing:
