Job Summary:

As a global leader in server technologies, Supermicro has been growing extremely fast in many key markets such as Cloud Computing, HPC, AI/ML and Scale-out Storage. To meet the market demand, Supermicro is developing end-to-end data center solutions with compute, storage, and networking integrated into full-rack or multi-rack data center infrastructures.

Supermicro is seeking a Staff Product Manager who can work with strategic data center customers, set solution direction, and grow data center businesses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Include the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

- Partner with the Director of Solution Engineering on strategy for winning major data center projects and increasing data center revenue

- Lead marketing and technological research to guide decision making on multi-generation solution development directions

- Lead data center solutions development across complex programs and work with design and testing engineers to enable new rack- and multi-rack-level data center solutions

- Lead pre-sales engagements with strategic customers and provide solution architectures that meet the requirements of demanding data center environments

- Own data center programs from design to delivery, align cross-functional teams, and drive a high level of customer satisfaction

- Improve revenue by building and expanding relationships with channel partners and technology partners

- Improve revenue by working closely with sales and marketing to position and promote new solutions to enterprise and data center customers

- Define and deliver solution trainings for internal organizations, partners, resellers, and end customers, and mentor Product Managers and Sr. Product Managers as needed

Qualifications:

- BSEE/CS required; MSEE/CS with 12+ years of relevant experience or equivalent preferred

- Deep knowledge of data center infrastructures such as Cloud, HPC, and AI/ML infrastructures, including full-rack and multi-rack solution design

- Deep knowledge of data center power and cooling technologies and how they affect solution architecture, density, and deployment

- Proven experience leading large-scale data center projects from design to deployment, including complex, multi-stakeholder programs

- Strong capability of bridging engineering and business groups, and of translating engineering capabilities into business results and customer wins

- Excellent organizational, communication, and executive presentation skills, with the capability of working across and influencing cross-functional organizations

- Strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment on ambiguous, high-impact problems

- Ability to lead complex programs, set priorities, and meet deadlines

- Ability to travel to meet customers

Salary Range

​$190,000 - $220,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
