Job Description Summary:
The Director, Practice Liaison (CPL) leads Option Care Health's Chronic Practice Liaison organization, responsible for driving referral growth, provider engagement, patient progression, and strategic account development across chronic therapy markets. This leader develops and executes commercial strategies that deepen relationships with key prescribers, health systems, academic medical centers, and infusion providers while enhancing collaboration across Sales, Operations, Intake, Pharmacy, Nursing, Market Access, and Clinical teams.

The role is accountable for maximizing referral conversion, accelerating speed-to-therapy, improving provider experience, and delivering profitable growth across chronic therapy categories. The Director will lead a national team of Practice Liaisons and serve as a critical member of the Specialty Sales & Solutions leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Strategy & Growth

- Develop and execute the national Chronic Practice Liaison strategy aligned with enterprise growth objectives.
- Identify and prioritize high-value referral sources, strategic accounts, and growth opportunities.
- Drive referral volume, patient starts, revenue, and gross profit growth across targeted chronic therapies.
- Partner with Specialty Sales, Area Sales Directors, and Regional Vice Presidents to optimize account ownership and growth plans.
- Establish market penetration strategies for health systems, IDNs, academic medical centers, physician groups, and specialty practices.

Provider & Account Engagement

- Build executive-level relationships with key referral sources and strategic provider accounts.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex provider concerns and access barriers.
- Develop provider engagement programs that strengthen loyalty and increase referral utilization.
- Ensure consistent execution of account planning, provider business reviews, and growth initiatives across markets.

Referral Conversion & Patient Progression

- Lead initiatives to improve referral acceptance, conversion rates, and patient starts.
- Partner with Intake, Patient Liaisons, Pharmacy Operations, and Revenue Cycle teams to reduce friction throughout the patient journey.
- Analyze referral leakage and implement corrective action plans.
- Drive improvements in turnaround times, authorization performance, and time-to-treatment metrics.

Team Leadership & Development

- Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing CPL team.
- Create performance standards, coaching strategies, and individualized development plans.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer service, and continuous improvement.
- Establish clear productivity expectations and performance metrics.

Cross-Functional Leadership

- Collaborate with Operations, Clinical Services, Pharmacy, Nursing, Finance, Analytics, and Technology teams.
- Translate field insights into operational and strategic improvements.
- Participate in annual operating planning and forecasting processes.
- Support implementation of technology and workflow enhancements that improve provider and patient experiences.

Performance Management & Analytics

- Establish KPIs and performance dashboards.
- Monitor referral trends, conversion performance, account growth, provider risk indicators, and patient progression metrics.
- Utilize data-driven insights to guide resource allocation and territory optimization.
- Deliver regular business reviews to executive leadership.

Qualifications:

Required

- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
- 10+ years of healthcare, specialty pharmacy, infusion, biotech, pharmaceutical, or provider-facing commercial leadership experience.
- 5+ years leading national or regional field teams.
- Demonstrated success driving referral growth and provider engagement.
- Strong financial, operational, and business planning acumen.
- Experience managing complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead in a matrixed healthcare environment.

Preferred

- Experience in specialty pharmacy, home infusion, ambulatory infusion center, or buy-and-bill environments.
- Experience with chronic therapies such as: Immunoglobulin (IG)
- Neurology
- Rheumatology
- Gastroenterology
- Rare and orphan therapies

- Knowledge of reimbursement, payer access, prior authorizations, and specialty pharmacy operations.

Due to state pay transparency laws, the full range for the position is below:

Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Pay Range is $126,505.85-$210,858.08
