POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides operational, clerical, and customer service support for warehouse activities while serving as the primary point of contact at the warehouse front desk. Works closely with warehouse and procurement personnel and Pueblo departments to ensure requests, deliveries, inventory transactions, and related records are processed accurately and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Serves as the primary point of contact at the warehouse front desk by greeting employees, vendors, delivery personnel, and visitors and directing inquiries or requests to the appropriate staff member;

- Provides clerical and administrative support for warehouse operations, including answering telephone calls, responding to routine inquiries, preparing documents, maintaining records, and processing departmental requests;

- Assists with receiving incoming shipments, deliveries, supplies, materials, and equipment and verifies items against purchase orders, packing slips, delivery documents, or other applicable records;

- Assists with unloading, sorting, labeling, organizing, stocking, and storing materials and supplies in designated warehouse locations;

- Issues and distributes supplies, materials, and equipment to authorized Pueblo departments and employees and maintains appropriate documentation of transactions;

- Assists with maintaining accurate inventory records by entering receipts, distributions, transfers, adjustments, and other inventory transactions into applicable records or electronic systems;

- Conducts routine inventory counts and assists with periodic physical inventories to verify quantities and identify discrepancies;

- Maintains organized warehouse storage areas and assists with ensuring materials and supplies are properly labeled, stored, rotated, and readily accessible;

- Maintains receiving records, inventory documentation, packing slips, purchase-related documents, distribution records, and other warehouse files in an accurate and organized manner;

- Assists with coordinating deliveries, departmental pickups, and other warehouse service requests;

- Communicates professionally with Pueblo departments regarding the status of supply requests, deliveries, available inventory, and other routine warehouse matters;

- Maintains the warehouse front desk, receiving area, storage areas, and assigned workspaces in a clean, organized, and safe condition;

- Coordinates the transfer and disposal of inventory with the proper personnel;

- Assists other warehouse personnel with operational activities and special projects as needed;

- Other position-related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or its equivalent GED; six (6) months related work experience and/or training or equivalent combination of experience and training. Must possess a current Texas Driver’s License and be insurable; must be able to successfully pass a post-offer drug screen and criminal background investigation.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

Knowledge of general office procedures, recordkeeping, filing, and customer service practices; Basic knowledge of general warehouse, receiving, inventory, and material-handling practices; Ability to follow established warehouse safety procedures and report unsafe conditions, damaged material, inventory discrepancies, or other operational concerns; Ability to accurately receive, count, organize, store, and distribute materials and supplies; Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer and personnel services; Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; Must be able to operate general office equipment and main phone switchboard; Must possess excellent communication skills; Ability to manage own time and the time of others; Service oriented; Must be able to handle multiple tasks and assignments concurrently to complete tasks in timely manner; Must be able to identify, prioritize, and circulate time sensitive material to appropriate departments.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear and use hands to operate office or warehouse equipment; The employee may be required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop kneel or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds. The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
