A Career that Empowers You to Build Your Future
The Sr Manager, Operational Excellence is responsible for leading the strategic design, standardization, and execution of scalable, sustainable processes across Lennar's homebuilding value chain (Buy, Build, Sell, Care). This role drives continuous improvement, process standardization, and operational efficiency in support of Lennar's enterprise-wide operational excellence strategy. With deep expertise in business operations and process transformation, the Sr Manager partners cross-functionally with business leaders and subject matter experts to pilot, refine, and scale new ways of working that improve the experience for Customers, Homeowners, and Associates alike.
Your Responsibilities on the Team
- Lead the enterprise-wide operational excellence strategy in support of Lennar's homebuilding value chain, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational priorities.
- Personally lead process mapping and documentation work, translating complex, inconsistent workflows into clear SOPs, quick reference guides, and process maps using tools like Lucid or Visio.
- Identify a process's biggest source of inconsistency and build a single standard method for running it, piloting the new approach with one team before scaling it more broadly.
- Partner with business stakeholders to drive adoption of new processes, and coach functional leaders on maintaining them to standard after handoff.
- Convene and facilitate small groups of subject matter experts to design and pressure-test new standard processes before they roll out broadly.
- Lead change management for new processes and tools: build the case for adoption, work through frontline resistance, and drive sustained use after go-live.
- Identify opportunities for automation within standardized processes, and partner with technology teams to hand off well-defined, consistent processes for automation.
- Define and track process health metrics (e.g., adherence, cycle time, error rates) to measure whether a process is being run to standard and diagnose where it's breaking down.
- Conduct root cause analysis and operational reviews to surface process gaps, inefficiencies, and undocumented exceptions.
Your Toolbox
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in process excellence, management consulting, or business operations.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale process transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Hands-on expertise in process mapping and documentation using tools like Lucid or Visio.
- Strong proficiency leveraging AI tools to accelerate process documentation, analysis, and content development.
- Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar process improvement training is a plus, not required.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive adoption of new processes in a matrixed organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel, data analysis, and reporting capabilities.
- Experience with enterprise systems and data dashboards is a plus.
