The Opportunity

We are looking for a strategic and collaborative leader to establish, govern, and continuously evolve our enterprise IT Asset Management (ITAM) practice.

In this role, you will help shape how technology assets are managed across their lifecycle, ensuring our hardware, software, cloud subscriptions, licensing, and related lifecycle data are visible, trusted, compliant, and aligned with business needs. Your work will directly support service reliability, financial stewardship, risk management, and informed decision-making across the enterprise.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys building mature practices, strengthening governance, improving data quality, and influencing outcomes across technical, operational, financial, and business teams. You will play a key role in helping the organization maximize the value of its technology investments while enabling scalable, efficient, and well-governed services.

What You’ll Do

- Lead and continuously mature the enterprise IT Asset Management practice across hardware, software, licensing, cloud subscriptions, and related lifecycle data.
- Develop, own, and maintain the ITAM practice framework, including policies, standards, governance controls, lifecycle processes, and operating procedures spanning acquisition, deployment, maintenance, optimization, and retirement.
- Champion trusted asset data by improving visibility, accuracy, ownership, and lifecycle integrity across asset inventories, registers, configuration records, and service management systems.
- Strengthen governance and compliance practices by leading software licensing oversight, audit readiness activities, evidence management, and controls related to unmanaged or unauthorized assets.
- Partner with IT Operations, Finance, Procurement, Security, service owners, and technical teams to support lifecycle planning, renewals, capacity management, cost optimization, risk management, and service reliability objectives.
- Define requirements for ITAM tools, data integrations, dashboards, reporting, and automation that improve enterprise visibility, decision-making, and operational efficiency.
- Deliver timely, meaningful reporting, insights, and recommendations that help optimize technology investments, reduce waste, support contract and audit readiness, and enable sound operational and investment decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement by redesigning processes, advancing practice maturity, strengthening integration with adjacent ITSM and security practices, improving data quality, and implementing scalable lifecycle controls.

What You Bring

Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science is preferred.

- 10+ years of relevant experience in IT Asset Management, IT Service Management, and/or IT Operations.

- Working knowledge of asset registers and inventories, software licensing, compliance, reporting, and governance controls.
- Strong understanding of how ITAM integrates across ITSM practices, including Change, Configuration, Security, and service delivery.
- Experience with ITAM and ITSM tools, reporting, data management, integrations, dashboards, and automation. Experience designing, maturing, and governing enterprise-scale ITAM practices is preferred.
- ITIL 4 Foundation certification is required. Additional IT Asset Management certifications are preferred.

Why Join This Opportun ity

This is a unique opportunity to build and shape an enterprise capability that influences how technology is governed, optimized, and invested in across the organization.

While this is an individual contributor role, you will have significant influence through practice leadership, governance, stakeholder partnerships, trusted reporting, and cross-functional decision support. You will work across multiple disciplines, bringing together technology, operations, finance, procurement, security, and service management to improve how IT assets are managed and how technology value is realized.
