About this role

The Blue Jays Baseball Academy is responsible for delivering baseball programming across Ontario and Canada throughout the year, with a focus on growing participation, developing fundamental skills, and fostering a lifelong passion for baseball and the Toronto Blue Jays.

As a Blue Jays Baseball Academy Instructor, you will teach baseball fundamentals through demonstrations, drills, skill development activities, and game play in a variety of youth baseball environments. Baseball Academy Clinics are one-day, four-hour skills clinics for players aged 8-12 that take place at local baseball associations throughout Ontario on weekends and PD Days during the spring and summer.

RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) programming delivers baseball instruction and development opportunities directly in schools and underserved communities. RBI programs focus on creating accessible, inclusive, and engaging experiences that introduce participants to the game while promoting skill development, confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong connection to baseball. RBI programming typically takes place on weekdays from March through June and may average 6-12 hours per week .

Depending on program needs and instructor availability, successful candidates may be assigned to:

- Baseball Academy Clinics (primarily weekends)

- RBI School Programs (primarily weekdays)

- A combination of both Clinics and RBI programming

- Other Baseball Academy initiatives, including community events, corporate activations, and special events

While each program may differ in format, audience, and schedule, all opportunities are focused on teaching baseball fundamentals, creating positive participant experiences, and growing the game within communities across Ontario.

As a Blue Jays Baseball Academy Instructor, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality programming and ensuring participants have a fun, safe, inclusive, and engaging experience.

Successfully candidates will be subject to a vulnerable sector background check prior to being hired.
