# Job Description

The Senior HRIS Analyst is a senior-level functional expert responsible for the strategic configuration, optimization, governance, and continuous improvement of the organization's Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This role serves as a trusted advisor to HR leadership, leads complex initiatives, provides solution design expertise, and drives enterprise-wide HR technology improvements. The Senior HRIS Analyst partners closely with Payroll, HR, IT, business leaders, and vendors to ensure HR systems effectively support organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

HRIS Strategy, Configuration & Governance

- Develops, implements, updates and maintains the Workday Payroll and Time Tracking Technology and System.
- Serve as the functional and technical lead for complex system enhancements and organizational initiatives.
- Establish and maintain system standards, documentation, and governance practices.
- Evaluate and recommend solutions that align with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Provide oversight for system health, performance, and configuration integrity.

Business Analysis & Solution Leadership

- Lead discovery sessions and consult with business leaders to understand strategic needs.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable system solutions.
- Design and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, compliance, and user experience.
- Serve as the primary HRIS consultant to Payroll and HR leadership and key stakeholders.
- Influence decision-making by providing system expertise and data-driven recommendations.

Testing, Release & Change Management

- Lead testing strategy, execution planning, and change deployment activities.
- Evaluate system releases and determine organizational impact.
- Develop testing standards and ensure quality assurance processes are followed.
- Coordinate enterprise-wide user acceptance testing and deployment readiness activities.
- Manage risk associated with system changes and enhancements.

Reporting, Analytics & Data Governance

- Design and develop complex reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics solutions.
- Lead initiatives to improve data quality, governance, and reporting standards.
- Establish data validation and audit processes to ensure integrity and compliance.
- Partner with leadership to support strategic workforce planning and analytics needs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for HR data and reporting capabilities.

Stakeholder Consulting & Leadership

- Act as a strategic advisor to Payroll, HR, business, and executive stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives involving Payroll, HR systems, data, and integrations.
- Build strong partnerships with IT, vendors, and operational leaders.
- Mentor and provide guidance to Payroll and other team members.
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions, prioritization efforts, and solution reviews.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

- Drive HR technology roadmap initiatives and system optimization efforts.
- Research emerging HR technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
- Lead governance, prioritization, and change control processes.
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and leverage system capabilities.
- Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence across HR technology functions.

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or related field required

Experience

- Minimum of 5-8 years of HRIS, business systems, or HR technology experience.
- Hands-on configuration experience in: Workday Payroll
- Workday Time Tracking

- Advanced experience with enterprise HR systems, preferably Workday.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex configurations, projects, and system enhancements.
- Strong analytical, consulting, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience developing complex reports, dashboards, and data-driven recommendations.
- Advanced Workday functional configuration experience, including business processes, security, reporting, and organizational structures preferred
- Experience leading testing, releases, and change management activities preferred
- Knowledge of integrations, middleware, and HR technology ecosystems preferred
- Experience mentoring analysts or leading functional workstream preferred
- Healthcare or large-enterprise HRIS experience preferred
- Workday Pro certifications or equivalent HR technology certifications preferred
