Chevron is accepting online applications for the positio n Lead Accounting Analyst - PSAT Internationa l   through October 16th, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (Buenos Aires Time).

Leads and oversees activities related to the establishment of finance policies and controls as well as general administration, and functional performance improvement across the entire function; also provides operations management with interpretive and predictive financial information to make business performance assessments and capital investment decisions through the use of sensitivity, pro forma and cause-and-effect analysis.

The position will support Supply and Trading organization for North America and other international locations. Team, located in Buenos Aires, provides support to Midstream operations by overseeing the accounting behind commercialization and shipment of petroleum products from origination sources (offshore / onshore leases) through Chevron refineries and into Marketing terminals, as well as accounting for all product traded with third parties in the Oil & Gas industry. Team tasks are typically distributed by area and in alignment to Front Office desk distribution (to allow a fluent interaction between members).

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

- collaborating in complex finance initiatives/projects assigned by leadership
- delivering key financial measures such as cost allocation, and expenses and inventory accounting
- partnering with multiple functions and supervisory levels to provide financial analysis, oversight, execution and coordination of a wide variety of activities
- assisting with strategic direction and decision making, and providing leadership across the workgroups

In position Candidate will have the opportunity to:

- Get a deep understanding on Oil & Gas industry core activities, such as trading and petroleum transportation.
- Get fluent on industry standards and products’ flow through diverse supply systems and means of transport.
- Collaboratively work and engage daily with front office personnel, including Traders, Schedulers and Operations’ specialists, as well as North America Finance employees.
- High exposure with Management and Leaders within Service Center and US Trading organization

As a Senior Finance Analyst :

- Understand and help leaders shape overall goals & strategy behind the assigned project / workstream
- Organize and direct group efforts with low supervision. Create a logical plan and schedule activities to meet milestones within the assigned workstream.
- Establish personal credibility with Subject Matter Experts & other stakeholders
- Apply his/her critical thinking to identify poorly defined processes/steps, anticipating critical situations for which he/she can develop a fit for purpose solution and drive to action.
- Think through, recommend, and design innovative solutions
- Deliver under pressure, remaining open to innovative viewpoints and involving others with different perspectives/expertise to analyze issues or define approach.
- Refine communication and negotiation skills to meet and address customers’ demanding expectations
- Articulate contracts jargon and system terminology to ensure independency in the resolution of discrepancies
- Demonstrate flexibility (adaptability) to deliver exceeding results in a very dynamic business, producing timely value-adding data to feed the Business’ decision-making process.

A Senior Finance Analyst will handle top complex scenarios/desk, execute and guide others through Main activities performed in the group, as follows:

- Account and reconcile inventories on diverse and complex inventory facilities and systems
- Drive accurate cost allocation by validating and accounting for product purchase and sales, and primary and secondary costs. Work out volume and price discrepancies with customers/vendors in collaboration with front offices.
- Generate/Monitor exception reports, analyze and address variations
- Reconcile Payable/Receivable Accounts with 3rd party Partners
- Perform financial month end close
- Integrate traditional accounting with bots (RPAs)
- Enhance controls and streamline processes, introducing automation where possible
- Work on projects to drive global consistency and create synergies across the team
- Expand domain on and apply new digital tools, such as PowerApps/Microsoft Flows and Productivity tools like SharePoint, OneDrive, MSTeams.

Required Qualifications

Technical:

- +8 years of experience on Accounting/Finance roles
- Familiarity with financial information systems (particularly S4 Hana) a plus
- Advance skills with MS Office Programs. i.e., MS Excel, Power Query, Power BI, etc.
