We are hiring a hands-on EHS Manager to advise, develop, implement, manage, and maintain EHS systems and Site Security Management Systems across five Videojet sites in the UK & Ireland, supporting approximately 250 employees across R&D, manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, and commercial field locations. Reporting to the Global Director, EHS & Sustainability , this role offers significant autonomy, exposure to varied working environments, and the opportunity to drive positive EHS performance across the region.

The role is primarily based at Videojet's Nottingham locations and is a five-day-a-week, fully onsite position . The successful candidate will work across the Nottingham sites throughout the week, with regular travel to Huntingdon and Ireland to support site engagement and EHS alignment. Travel will typically include approximately 2–3 days per month at the Huntingdon site , with flexibility to increase frequency based on operational needs, as well as approximately 2–3 visits per year to Ireland .

In This Role, a Typical Day Will Look Like:

- EHS Management & Systems — Develop, implement, manage, and maintain effective EHS and Site Security Management Systems across five UK & Ireland locations.
- Regulatory Compliance — Ensure compliance with relevant UK and Ireland statutory, regulatory, contractual, and company EHS requirements.
- EHS Training — Identify training needs, develop and coordinate EHS training programs, and ensure employees have the knowledge and capability to work safely.
- Risk Management — Identify EHS risks, implement appropriate controls, and monitor their effectiveness to reduce the likelihood and severity of EHS events.
- Continuous Improvement — Monitor EHS performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead initiatives that deliver measurable and sustainable results.
- Site Engagement — Build strong relationships across R&D, manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, and commercial teams, ensuring EHS remains embedded in day-to-day operations.
- Leadership & Influence — Advise and influence senior stakeholders and site leaders, providing practical EHS guidance and supporting effective decision-making.
- Incident & Corrective Action Management — Support investigations, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and follow through to ensure sustainable improvements.
- Site Security — Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of Site Security Management Systems and help reduce the likelihood of security breaches.
- EHS Administration — Maintain accurate EHS records, documentation, reporting, and filing while ensuring systems remain current and audit-ready.
- Multi-Site Partnership — Coordinate EHS activities across the UK & Ireland, sharing best practices and promoting consistent standards across locations.
- Regional Travel — Engage regularly with the Huntingdon and Ireland sites to support EHS alignment, stewardship, and leadership engagement.

The essential requirements of the job include :

- Proven experience developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS systems, ideally within a fast-paced, results-driven, multi-site environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK EHS legislation and regulatory requirements.
- NEBOSH Level 6 National Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals, NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate, NEBOSH Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated ability to advise, influence, and partner effectively with senior stakeholders and operational teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to spearhead effective change and continuous improvement.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a standalone, individual contributor role while collaborating effectively across multiple sites and functions.
- A hands-on approach, with willingness to undertake EHS administration, documentation, and filing as required.
- Ability and willingness to work fully onsite five days per week.
- Resides within commuting distance of Videojet's Nottingham office or is willing to relocate.
- Willingness to travel regularly to Huntingdon and periodically to Ireland.
