SAIC is seeking a well-qualified I nformation System Security Enginee r to support the systems and cybersecurity aspects of the Expeditionary Forces for the U.S. Navy. The platforms being supported are the Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) and Landing Craft Utility (LCU) Programs. This position is a technical cybersecurity compliance role responsible for securing, maintaining, and defending the authorization posture of Platform Information Technology (PIT) flight control system.
This position is located on site in Panama City Beach, FL.
Responsibilities include:
- Resolving outstanding Authorization to Use with Conditions (ATU/C) letter stipulations
- Authoring and testing Information System Contingency Plans (ISCPs)
- Managing End-of-Life (EOL) obsolescence mitigation paths within a physically isolated, air-gapped system environment
- Collaboration with In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) engineering teams to align Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) application (such as BitLocker PIN and Trellix scan rules) with flight control safety and real-time operational availability
- Provide inputs to eMASS package updates, Vulnerability Remediation Asset Management (VRAM) scan upload tracking and Risk Assessment updates
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology discipline and 3-5 years of dedicated cybersecurity engineering experience supporting a DoD or Navy Program Office.
- Strong working knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 (and Rev 5 transition), NIST SP 800-34 (Contingency Planning).
- Experience with eMASS, VRAM, and DISA STIGs (including Windows and Trellix ENS)
- Experience with Windows 7/10 legacy baselines, Windows 11 and outdated Linux kernels.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with Navy Platform IT (PIT), air gapped systems, real time operating systems, or maritime C4N/HM&E architectures is highly desired.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
- Certification per DoD 8140/8570.01-M at IAT or IAM Level II (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP, or CGRC/CAP)
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
- Must be able to obtain or have an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
