About this role
The Sr. Manager of National Tourism Sales Programs is a senior leader on our national Corporate Sales Team, and responsible for implementing and creating a National Tourism sales strategy across our venue portfolio. You will be responsible for identifying emerging market opportunities in sports tourism, corporate hospitality, and expand the tourism client base across all Topgolf’s nationwide. The Sr. Manager of National Tourism Programs will collaborate with local and national DMOs, CVBs, and tour operators to position Topgolf venues as a premier event destination. This role will also require business development, from prospecting and relationship development through contract negotiation. This position will partner with all venue sales teams to identify revenue growth opportunities, establish best practices, and maintain strong relationships with all strategic tourism partners. The role collaborates cross-functionally with corporate leadershi and event sales teams to deliver customized event solutions and drive long-term revenue growth. As a highly visible position, the Sr. Manager of National Tourism Sales Programs will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop multi-year partnerships and enhance the overall event experience. This remote role reports to the Sr. Director of National Events & Programs and is part of the Corporate Sales team based in Dallas.
- Implement strategic business plan and Tour operator packages to grow our Tourism portfolio and launch new Tour & Travel program
- Negotiate annual contracts with senior executives, top decision makers, tour operators, and sponsors
- Own and drive revenue targets for the venue's event tourism portfolio, with accountability for both new business and account retention
- Identify emerging market opportunities in event tourism, hotels, and student youth travel associations to expand Topgolf’s client base
- Build and manage a robust pipeline using Salesforce while ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting to senior leadership
- Establish sales processes, and best practices that drive consistent team performance; conduct regular pipeline reviews, performance check-ins, and communicate best practices or our venue teams
- Represent Topgolf at industry trade shows, tourism conferences, and represent Topgolf at various networking events to build visibility and generate new business
7+ years of tourism event sales experience; in hospitality, entertainment, and/or sports.
2+ years in people management role, with demonstrated success leading teams.
- Ability to communicate effectively with new guests, repeat guests, co-workers and management
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Salesforce
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to excel and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Responds quickly and effectively to changing trends and circumstances; embraces change and welcomes fresh perspectives
- Motivated and driven individual who can positively work with others to achieve all goals
- Ability to develop clear action plans and drive processes with numerous interdependencies
- Strong problem solving skills, analytical capabilities, and collaboration skills.
