For the business lines supported by Cleveland including those that are owned by the Department of Treasury’s Bureau of the Fiscal Service, the Data Risk and Compliance Lead position supports the risk posture around data, specifically Privacy and Electronic Records Management, by ensuring compliance with System, government, and industry frameworks, facilitating audits, and risk assessments, and working closely with departments to ensure their data and processes are inventoried and in compliance.
Job Description
The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is seeking a meticulous and highly organized Data Risk and Compliance Lead for Privacy and Records Management. This role is critical in ensuring the required assessments, handling, storage, and retrieval is completed for all records and information. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of privacy and records management principles, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality. This position will support various departments within the Bank, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and internal policies.
The scope of the role includes, but is not limited to:
- Privacy: Highly engaged privacy program leader and privacy subject matter expert.
- Lead local operations of the System Privacy Program
- Mature and manage the local Privacy Procedures to ensure compliance with System Privacy Program requirements and standards.
- Advise Department on Personally Identifiable Information collection, use, sharing, and minimization.
- Manage the local Privacy Inventory, risk assessment, and privacy risk reduction efforts.
- Lead vendor privacy assessments.
- Review Privacy Controls for local IT systems.
- Support the local Privacy Officer for incident response.
- Records Management: Highly engaged records management program leader and records management subject matter expert.
- Lead local operations of the Electronic Records Management Program.
- Mature and manage the local Records Management Procedures to ensure compliance with System Records Management Forum requirements.
- Perform thorough review of department’s Records Management processes and documentation to assist in ensuring accurate classification, indexing, and filing of electronic records.
- Conduct reviews and inventories of records to ensure compliance with retention schedules and regulatory requirements.
- Information Governance: Collaborate with legal, compliance, and IT departments to establish and enforce information governance standards.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and internal policies regarding records and information management.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on records management policies and best practices.
- Project Management: Lead and participate in records management and privacy projects, including system implementations and process improvements.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain privacy and records management documentation, including policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Generate regular reports on privacy and records management activities, compliance, and system performance.
Expectations and Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience related to privacy, records, and/or information management, preferably within a regulated industry.
- Knowledge of leading privacy and records management concepts and practices.
- Proficiency with governance, risk and control systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze highly complex business requirements.
- Project Management, time management skills, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support staff at all levels.
- High level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Education and Experience
- Associates degree and 9+ years of related work experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of related work experience OR
- Master’s degree and 5 years of related work experience
Location: Cleveland, OH
The expected starting salary range for the Data Risk & Compliance Lead is between $111,400 and $139,200 annually. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and market data.
