CORPORATE COUNSEL

Full-Time, Monday - Friday

A privately held and diversified group of affiliated companies is seeking a well-rounded attorney with five to ten years of relevant experience to join its in-house legal team in Ocala, Florida.

Qualifications

- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.
- Five to ten years of relevant legal experience.
- Broad experience in commercial contracts and corporate transactional matters.
- Experience with commercial real estate transactions strongly preferred.
- Experience with zoning, land use, permitting, development approvals, or related governmental matters preferred.
- Experience with equestrian-related law or equestrian businesses, transactions, operations, events, or disputes preferred.
- Litigation or litigation-management experience preferred.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters, establish priorities, and work independently.
- Sound judgment and the ability to communicate legal issues clearly to non-lawyers.
- A practical, collaborative, and business-focused approach.
- Must be based in, or willing to relocate to, the Ocala, Florida area and work on-site.

Required Qualifications

- Experience Level: Five to Ten Years
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.
- Five to ten years of relevant legal experience.
- Meaningful experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Experience with corporate transactional matters.
- Strong legal research, writing, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage numerous matters and competing priorities with limited supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to recognize significant legal and business risks and elevate issues appropriately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain legal concepts clearly and concisely to business professionals.
- Professional judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information.
- Willingness to work on-site in Ocala, Florida.
