What You Will Do:
- For the Rotating Equipment Team lead multiple projects in parallel and ensure commitments are well established and met with regular updates to stakeholders.
- Responsible for the requirement traceability – From Concept Development through Down Select – Detailed Analysis – Validation Strategy – Validation Execution and to Production Launch
- Will be leading engineering engagement in PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) requiring coordination with internal team and external vendors.
- Will be responsible for deviation review and disposition of non-conforming parts.
- Present all potential engineering solutions to leadership, interact with cross functional peers, and provide updates to various stakeholders (production, reliability, sourcing, etc.)
- Perform Fatigue evaluation and life predictions – parent material SN curves, weld evaluation, etc.
- Provide timely communications on significant issues, risks, or developments
- Prepare invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology, OR
- Associates degree with a minimum of 5 years engineering experience
- Experience in and ability to work “hands on” in validation and product troubleshooting – navigating progress and addressing roadblock as they may present themselves.
- Strong Independent Drive and Follow-up.
- Experience and familiarity working within an Engineering design framework
- Experience in Drawing, Documentation and Procedure development.
- Strong understanding of GD&T.
- Strong Mechanical components design analysis techniques – Bolted Joint, FEA, CFD, etc.
- Root Cause Analysis techniques – containment and correction
- Exceptional Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, decision making and communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a shop‑floor environment
- Hardware/Software Proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite
Pay Range: $70K-$85K
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work Requirements:
This role is considered an on-site position located in Erie, PA
• You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
• Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Travel Requirements:
Due to the nature of the work, less than 10% of travel is required.
