Job Description:

Position Overview:

The Maintenance Manager must possess the desire and ability to manage maintenance and repair for all areas of the plant. The Maintenance Manager’s role is to supervise and coordinate all plant maintenance personnel to attend an effective and efficient low cost plant operation.

Duties And Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:

- Design, implement, and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Lead, develop, and direct maintenance personnel, tool room machinists, and storeroom employees to support plant objectives.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Effectively influence and collaborate with leaders and employees across departments to drive operational performance and achieve plant goals.
- Ensure compliance with all maintenance-related safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage maintenance budgets, labor resources, contractor services, and maintenance-related expenditures.
- Oversee spare parts inventory management and storeroom operations to ensure timely availability of materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and cost control.
- Direct tool room operations, including fabrication, machining, equipment modifications, and support for plant reliability and improvement initiatives.
- Plan and oversee capital projects, equipment installations, facility improvements, contractor activities, and equipment purchases.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Safety teams to identify opportunities for equipment reliability, efficiency, and productivity improvements.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause investigations to eliminate recurring equipment failures and improve asset performance.
- Monitor and analyze maintenance performance metrics, including downtime, PM completion, equipment reliability, work order completion, and maintenance costs.
- Provide on-call support and emergency response as necessary to address critical equipment and facility issues.
- Remain current on new technologies, equipment upgrades, maintenance best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent manufacturing maintenance experience considered.
- Five (5) or more years of progressive maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and equipment reliability principles.
- Strong technical knowledge of high-speed manufacturing equipment, mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, compressed air systems, building maintenance, wastewater treatment systems, printing presses, and curing ovens.
- Proven leadership and management experience influencing hourly team members.
- Experience implementing, managing, and continuously improving preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Working knowledge of maintenance management systems (CMMS) and maintenance planning and scheduling processes.
- Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, project management, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization as well as suppliers/vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in a team-oriented environment and foster employee engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Experience managing maintenance budgets, capital projects, contractors, and vendor relationships preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency response situations.

Preferred Requirements

- Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Management, or a related field.
- Seven (7) or more years of maintenance leadership experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
- Experience in metal packaging, food and beverage continuous manufacturing industries.
- Experience preparing and managing department budgets, maintenance metrics, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Strong background in equipment reliability, root cause analysis, and predictive maintenance technologies.

Physical Requirements:

- While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The Team Member may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and 25 pounds occasionally
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

WAGES:

- $91,000 – $130,000 Annually
